New month, new movie reactions. Bliss 🌻

Nastassia Carmona

I loved this reaction! Horror is my favorite genre, but I like supernatural horror rather than slashers... so I actually have never seen this. For not liking horror you did well! Since you seem to not particularly like horror, I won't push too much for you to watch Hereditary 😅🤣

OH GOD! It would be a crime to have KSO react to ANY of Ari Aster's movies looool

Nastassia Carmona

🤣 Trust me, I know LOL. I just think that the way her mind works, it would be fun... especially the way she reacts to things... but yeah, it would be too much 😆

“The first ‘go’ is enough for me” and “listen, girl, if she gets you, at this point, I’ll give her a round of applause” had me cracking up 😂 Oh, Scott, what did KSO do for you to put her through this? 🤣 Kemi, it looks like you were more scared to watch the sex than the murders! 😂 I’m gonna have to go back now and watch your reactions to other horror movies. I’m not a horror guy, but you’ll make it fun for me, I’m sure!

Hey Raga Hunni! I am a big fan of 80s horror, especially the "Friday the 13th" series. I've sent KSO many different genres of movies including most of the Barbra Streisand films she's reacted to and my favorite films of all-time, "The Shawshank Redemption," "October Sky," "Lean on Me," and "12 Angry Men." If you haven't seen those reactions, please check them out. Since May 2022 is the only month with an actual Friday the 13th (May 13, 2022), I thought it was time for KSO to react to the classic of the horror genre. It's definitely fun to watch along with her!!😁

Thank you for another great reaction! "Friday the 13th" was a huge box-office success in 1980. It ruled the summer and went on to make just under $40 million domestically. It was the 18th highest grossing film of that year. Mrs. Pamela Voorhees was taking revenge on anyone who wanted to reopen Camp Crystal Lake. When her son, Jason, drowned in Crystal Lake in 1957, she went insane, losing her only child. She blamed the camp counselors who "weren't paying any attention. They were making love while that young boy drowned!" She murdered the two counselors in 1958 when the film opens and caused all the trouble over the years, culminating with the murders of all the new counselors in this film. Jason jumping out of the lake to pull Alice underneath the water was just a nightmare that Alice was having. Although the film was released in 1980, it is widely accepted that the film took place in 1979 because that is the date seen on Pamela's gravestone in a later film. We know Jason drowned in 1957. We can assume he was 10 years old. So, by 1979, Jason would be approximately 32 years old. He would no longer be a boy in the lake. The actress who played Pamela Voorhees was Betsy Palmer. She always played "good girl" roles in films of the 50s and 60s. She was known to be a very wholesome personality, so it was shocking to audiences that she turned out to be the killer. Palmer herself thought that no one would ever see this film because she thought the script was "a piece of shit." However, Palmer received $10,000 for ten days' work and that was enough for her to buy a new car which she needed at the time. That's why she did the movie, and she has become beloved to horror fans all around the world. Palmer died in 2015 at the age of 88, and she embraced all of her fans who loved the movie. Jason was always supposed to be dead. Betsy Palmer has said that if her character knew her son was alive, she wouldn't have gone around killing all those people! LOL However, the film was so popular that Jason was resurrected the following year to continue the series in 1981. "Friday the 13th, Part 2" introduced Jason as the killer and created a long-running franchise containing 12 films including a crossover with "Nightmare on Elm Street" ("Freddy vs. Jason" in 2003) and a remake in 2009. Jason has become a horror icon. This movie began a wave of "slasher" films in the 1980s, or "body count" movies. In fact, the movie trailer for "Friday the 13th" actually counted the number of people that were killed in the movie. Audiences responded to the roller coaster ride and the thrills, as we never get to know any of the characters very deeply. They are introduced to be killed. When you post the edited YouTube version, I hope that you will receive thousands of views. I'm sure you will receive many comments with the information I have provided you here. I really hope this becomes a popular video for your channel! Thank you again, Darling! I really hope you weren't too scared. 😁

This is probably a stupid question but how would a person leave movie and tv suggestions. Just incase its when we comment a great movie to think about is Blast from the past with Brenden Fraser. Thanks for all your great work Love not having to be alone watching shows :) and BTW Friday the 13th was fantastic watching with you. Would love to watch Battlestar Galactica mini siries and seasons 1-4 with you. God Bless.

Raga G

Oh wow, I certainly will get started on all the #ScottSelections and comment on each one of those as I finish them!

Sincerely, K.S.O.

Thank you my Darling Patron. Not at all a stupid question. A poll will be coming up between the 20th and 24th of this month - where all Patrons can put up their film requests. Unfortunately - series requests are not accepted on the poll.
