Yes, that is Shelley Fabares (pronounced Fa - bray) doing the singing. The clip is from a TV show of the early 1960's, "The Donna Reed Show." It was a family comedy. That was Donna Reed as the woman proudly watching. She was the mother of the family, with Shelley playing the teenage daughter. The idea of using TV stardom as a way into music was even more common then. It began with Ricky Nelson, who used the "Ozzie & Harriet" show in the late 1950's to launch his music career, and after that any number of TV actors and actresses made records. "Johnny Angel" was a rarity in that it actually became a big hit. Shelley Fabares didn't become a singing star afterwards, but she had a long career as a TV actress.

I'm sorry, but maybe due to Pink's "Beautiful Trauma" video, I just kept expecting something to happen in this old television clip. :^)
