Something has been up for the last few mondays where Patreon won’t open the you tube app just browser so if we don’t catch the show from the beginning can’t rewind so have to wait till show ends to watch. There’s no YouTube button like it used to have

Have you guys seen youtuber ' FriendlyJordies ' take on Australian Politics ? His house was fire bombed while doing his own private journalism on corruption in Aus. Thanks for all the hard work you put into research and having chats with subscribers, sorry some of us can't make it live.

Grady Gillis

By the way, "Sarnie" comes from the north of England, not Australia. Aussies may use it, but it originated from the Yorkshire area. I lived in East Anglia three times - in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. It was common to hear it, usually on television in shows originating in the Yorkshire area. Seems to have spread fairly widely throughout England.

Q I agree with 99% of what you guys say having lived in china for many years myself, but i've noticed kind of an interested dichotomy in your coverage, whereas half is the incompetence of the gov and maybe flaws within chinese culture that we can either criticise or laugh at like the stupid propaganda or the insistence on face that causes so many real world problems, while on the other hand saying how dangerous China is to the world with police stations and belt and road etc. Do you have a way of tying these two opposing things together? Surely it would make no sense for a country or entity to be both weak and goofy, but also strong far-reaching and powerful right? I do know from experience china is a bit of a puzzling place especially to westerners, but this framing may be confusing where 1 minute we're laughing at some goofy thing the incompetent gov does, then say how controlling and powerful the gov is, which I know to be the case but maybe a to a new viewer or someone not already familiar with china it may seem just straight anti-China, idk

They aren't necessarily exclusive aspects to a body as large and complex as the CCP. Something as immense as the CCP can have elements that are malicious and at the same time, can have other elements that are ridiculous at the same time. Most authoritarian governments are deeply corrupt. After all when you have so much corruption, the results can be quite laughable, even if only in a dark kind of way.
