What I like to know is: why does the Chinese government shut down the internet when they have a meeting? Are they worried about people using the internet to plot against them?

One thing that I've learned in recent years is to never trust a politician who keeps harping about protecting freedoms.. chances are, they're likely hiding their agenda of suppressing freedoms. And I've seen this both on the left and the right in the US. So related to this, I'm not surprised that the Libertarian party, very freedom loving on paper, got compromised by the CCP to exploit the very thing the party is seeking to deliver. And related to this but from the next episode, I'm glad you mentioned Tulsi Gabbard since I had almost supported in the primaries a couple of years ago but thankfully, she dropped out before I could cast my vote and nowadays, she's posting a ton of pro-Russia videos on her Youtube. The division in America these days really worries me, esp since that's what China wants. I even deal with it in my own family where many including myself immigrated to the US. We have left wingers, right wingers, pro-CCP, ant-CCP, and combinations of each here and it's really complex. But I really urge everyone who votes in the US to be supportive of anyone acts in a way that's anti-CCP (and not just with words) even if they're not on your preferred side of the political spectrum; we can't have the country divided on China esp in these times.
