SITREP 532 is 46 pages and combat only! (new Patreons, that means a lot happened)

What's Happening

What's the big story? Russian forces are in a pause at Avdiivka s they rotate troops.

What's the second story? Ukraine is told that in 2024 they can expect the same level of military aid they received in 2024 - and that is not good news. It means Ukraine will get just enough to tread water long.

"Senior Iranian envoy met Hamas representatives in Moscow as Russia seeks to expand its clout" https://apnews.com/article/russia-iran-hamas-israel-palestine-9b57f4322f57f3a6ff33e2908cb2a3ef#:~:text=During%20the%20meeting%20with%20Hamas,the%20Iranian%20Embassy%20in%20Moscow. Russia is more closely aligned to Iran and its proxies like Hamas. Perhaps this will be enough to persuade some holdout Republicans that Putin and Russia are a threat to the US and its allies and full support for Ukraine is critical in preventing that threat. In other words support for Israel and Ukraine are linked in important ways. Also on US politics. While the new House Speaker, Michael Johnson, has previously been opposed to further aid for Ukraine, he has been heavily funded by L3Harris, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and other military manufacturers. And so perhaps there's room for negotiation...

We 100% agree with all of this. The problem is we don't have a firewalled dedicated Israel-Hamas team that doesn't cover Russia-Ukraine. Our "opinion" is Russia's official position - this is about the hostages - is a load of you know what. This was about sending a message that Iran and Hamas - they're with us.
