This is Report 491, which is 48 pages and is a full report.

What's the big story? Ukrainian forces took control of the Boiko Towers for the first time since 2015, taking away Russian forward operating bases, radar stations, and electronic warfare capabilities.

What's the second story? Russian and Ukrainian sources are reporting that Russian troops have been pushed out of Klishchiivka and Andriivka. It's just a matter of time before the General Staff confirms.

Bonus Story? Russian mercenary milblogger Andrei Morozov, better known as Murz, is ending all work on providing radios to Russian troops due to a spat with his commanders. This is bad news for open-source intel but good news for Ukraine.

A YouTuber references this damning post from a Russian army unit (Rusich Militia) of their complaints of things going wrong with their army’s campaign. While none of this will be entirely new to readers of the MN site reps, it’s still quite shocking and exposes a desperately inadequate and incompetent and dishonest leadership https://telegra.ph/Vzglyad-snizu-Nedostatki-voennoj-sistemy-vyyavlennye-v-hode-raboty-podrazdeleniya-na-SVO-09-08 The YouTuber is here https://youtube.com/watch?v=6UaArZZklEI&si=3QiKKCF85fhwATVl It’s worth a listen as some details are spectacularly bad. It’s all good for Ukraine no doubt. I guess the leadership’s response will be to arrest someone.

Question: does anyone have any insight as to whether the ground freeze during the Ukrainian winter might make the mud of any sections of the drained Nova Kakhovka dam hard enough and stable enough to withstand a crossing with heavy artillery? (Seems likely not. But would be fascinating if there is a cold winter this year and this became a viable option for Ukraine.)
