The Ukrainian General Staff released a video this morning of two Raptor Class Russian Patrol boats being destroyed by a Bayraktar TB-2 drone strike off the coast of Odesa. The vessels were operating near Snake Island when they came under fire. One vessel was clearly destroyed the second vessel was heavily damaged, and likely destroyed.

The Black Sea Fleet had 39 to 41 surface vessels at the start of the Russia-Ukraine War on February 24. The loss of the two patrol boats represents a 10% total loss to the fleet in six weeks. When you include damaged surface vessels, losses are at 17%.

This whole mess has been really sad to watch. I’m heartbroken for the Ukrainian people, and what they’ve had to endure. But it’s really sad to watch what was one of the great superpowers of my youth, touted as one of the greatest armies on earth, just wallow around like this. It’s like watching your drunk uncle in his 60s that was once a superstar athlete try and do a back flip…. And then you have to call the paramedics. I had a guy at work ask me today “you were seriously afraid of the Soviet Union when you were a kid?” Yeah, well… Bruce Willis once jumped off a skyscraper with a firehose tied to his waist, leave me alone. And get off my lawn.

I adore this comment in so many ways. Corruption is corrosive. The real "what's next" is coming in the next 7 to 14 days. I would be as bold to say we have already entered a Phase 2A, which is identical to the Kyiv Phase 1A. It appears we're entering into a war of attrition. Pro-Russian channels on Telegram are on fire right now about how bad things are going around Kharkiv. This is a current event and there aren't any details, but it is a full-scale 911 emergency meltdown among the Pro-Russian accounts. We doubt that this is being fueled by the offensives over the weekend. We have seen some reports of Ukrainian troops pushing to the outskirts of Staryi Saltiv, but we're not seeing anything concrete. Capturing that village and the bridge over the Siverskiskyi Donets River would be a significant event, effectively forcing Russian troops to yield the entire west bank of the river to the dam at Bazaliivka.

Fantastic question and shocking to be thinking about naval losses in the sense of tonnage in 2022. standard tons - 12,826 - 9.800ish of that is the Moskva. That is sunk only, not disabled. Confirmed disabled is 6,823.
