A haunting in Venice 2

Nebbiolo

Good call on “not so Agatha Christie”. I’m a 70+ oldie and it was absolutely too dark for me. I felt as if I missed a lot of set details. I must admit to a little snooze as I viewed it in a movie theatre chaise chair where they delivered my pint of Ben and Jerry’s to my recumbentness which prompted a bit of a sugar crash. Thusly the baby nap. Hmmm…perhaps it seemed dark because my eyes were closed.

I also genuinely like the first two and will rewatch them, but I don't think I would with this one. My favorite thing with Agatha Christie stories is I can never guess who the killer will be, and if I can I can't always guess why they did it, and even if I've seen the movie before I still like seeing how it comes together and how clever the setup and payoff is. With this one I guessed the killer and drugging thing pretty quick and I didn't really enjoy any of the time between figuring it out and the ending. It just didn't feel very clever like the others did
