I'd just like to respond to the comments about autism. I'm high functioning autistic, probably similar to the Blue Ranger. Speaking just for myself and not the autistic community as a whole I'm not offended by anything you said on the subject. On the other hand I didn't question him getting the dinosaur and whatnot along with the rest of them - he had some social difficulties but seemed more than capable of holding his own. As I said, I think I'm on a similar level as depicted by the character and I'm a high school teacher and a parent - arguably more dangerous than a robot dinosaur. Keep up the good work!

Simply loved it. The film was a dream come true.

I actually really liked this movie, though i was a little let down by the actual amount of power rangers we got at the end. But over all i thought it was awesome and one of the better reboots we've seen in ages.

Being older when Power Rangers came out I just could not get into it. First time I saw an episode I was "This is such a Voltron rip off." (The 1980s version, that is.) Just the color coded costumes to the beast machines that can combine into one giant robot, of course, but enough that my teenage brain dismissed it.

Glad to hear it wasn't taken in the wrong way. I get nervous talking about stuff like that because I don't want people to think im being mean spirited.

Was a bit disappointing they only had one small fight as the Rangers before they jumped into their Zords I have to admit.

My wife and I both really liked this movie. Billy's mom does ask what happened to her van right after he wakes up. It's a blink and you miss it thing. I thought Jason's dad was Austin St. John at first as well. The product placement didn't bother me that much, mostly because I was laughing at how over the top stupid it was. Overall I really enjoyed it! (Also Jason x Kimberly=OTP)

No matter how i would have felt about anything relating to tone I just can't appreciate this movie. That it is inescapable that even the very worst seasons of power rangers/sentai still have better fight scenes. And the boob armor ruins the "TigerRanger was male" joke.

As much as I don't like this movie, it isn't for the reasons most people would think. The whole "remember that this was in the TV show/video game/etc., wink wink?" Cliche/Joke is something I really don't like. It's part of the reason I never went to see the live action beauty and the beast or the malificent film despite loving the original fairytales.
