You think that's nuts, you should see the sequel. Also, the sequel is terrible.

I told you it was one of the worse books of all time and that Stephenie Meyer has more writing talent that Groom.

Marvelous video as always. One note, though: at the end when you're crediting Il Neige for the song, the video gives the title of the song as "Armoured Bears". Which I'm presuming is not the title he gave to this parody but just a carryover from the Golden Compass Lost in Adaptation.

Excellent! Loved it

I knew going into the theater that I was going to hate the movie – everything except a truly amazing soundtrack – but I really love this video.

I was very surprised to hear this was a book, though not surprised that is took the legendary power of Tom Hanks to make Forest likeable and sweet. Another point in the rare-rare category of 'Movie is better than the book'. And you're right about the need to keep aware of film problems not matter how strong the nostalgia. Since you've recently done a book review for your favourite book series will you consider undertaking other books to review? Could I please please beg for you to look at the fantasy series 'Quest for Deltora' by Emily Rhodda? It's some of the best fantasy, world-building and frankly terrifying creature building work I read as a kid.

I was so excited for this one I joined Patreon just to see. Idk how long I'll afford to stick around even with my limits but it was a very well done video as expected!

Ok this one was done amazingly well. You’re right I didn’t know there was a book. And I’m glad I learned it here. The ending song was also magic. Honestly even from feminist high horse I think Jenny’s characterization never bothered me for two reasons. 1) Robin kills it. 2) Despite not having the god awful childhood one of my aunts does seem to just stumble from one bad guy to another while still landing ok.

This happens a lot. I might just change it to something generic I don't have to remember to change.

I read this book fairly recently, after just picking it up randomly off a shelf and deciding I need to read more and, wow. It's kind of mind-boggling how mean-spirited the whole book is. It felt like listening to a story told by a racist, sexist, gross uncle who'll refuse to acknowledge his views are just awful. Huge respect for the movie creators for making this movie out of that cesspool.

Utaku Beta

yeah this is certainly one of the few adaptations that is better than the book.

John Vinals

Also helping is that the movie doesn’t have repeated sexual assault and sexual humiliation jokes.
