Not in the credits yet...oh well...next week maybe. I’m particularly fond of the Goosebumps book “The Ghost Next Door”. The book had me in tears, the episode wasn’t perfect but not terrible...however, comparing this book to the 2015 film might be more insightful. Just a thought

If you’re taking Goosebumps requests, I‘d love to see you cover The Haunted Mask. Damn near gave me nightmares when I watched it for the first time, And I was a teenager when I did.

I remember this book fondly, when I was in year two, all the year threes clamoured around the Goosebumps shelf in the school library to pick one out. Trying to look cool, I gravitated to the cover of this story but the deputy head stopped me taking it out and sat me down to read out the first page to prove I was capable of not only reading but handling the subject matter.

I failed, and had to return it. Never did get back around to reading it so here I am 18 years later finally learning the plot. I don't think I could have handled it.

I was obsessed with this series as a kid, which easily segued into watching The X-Files, old Twilight Zone, etc. Guess that reveals something about my psyche...Thank you for this episode, Dom!

I looked into the show and it appears this episode had a sequel. What that also based on a book?

I just realized that there's a very similar episode of "Are You Afraid of the Dark" that likely drew inspiration from the same source. Though in that case, it was a demon-haunted camera, defeated when it took a picture of itself. Haven't thought of that one in ages...

Dude, The Werewolf of Fever Swamp (both the episode and the book) gave me nightmares as a kid!
