Okay, the protagonist being seventy would have been amazing :D

I knew there was a book - I tried to read it, but it was a Did Not Finish. (Said that in the original poll.) Though maybe a DNF doesn't look good. I heard the reason the scene with Gruber and John was added to the movie was that Rickman was showing off his American accent and they decided to throw it in.

You were not one of the 19 did not knowers. Seems like a lot of effort to go through to show off a bad accent XD

Really? People didn't know there was a book! I guess the changed title threw people off.

:3 Can I wish you Merry Christmas without getting shot? Fantastic episode, though--I especially loved the bits with old-guy-Dom.

You'd be surprised how many people don't know there's a book. Take the TV series Dexter for instance - a LOT of people don't know it started as a book series. Some of the things I requested The Dom to do people aren't aware there's a book and they're classic movies at that.

Love the review! The bow-tie was a nice touch!

MAD APPLAUSE! Also, gun nut checking in: the Browning Hi-Power is a 9mm, no different in caliber than the Beretta 92F he was packing. Again, awesome review! I've always been curious about the book.

Off topic question - is there a chance in Hell of a Prisoner review this month? I have a patron at the library, retired film teacher, who often talks about the show and watching your reviews helps me know what he's talking about.

Woot, Christmas review! I will admit, the only reason I remembered Die Hard started as a book was because the Dune review mentioned it (I'm sure I'd read about it awhile back, but that info had gotten dumped outta my head at one point or another).
