Hey DN, can you start putting a link with the description as well as the video. You can get to YouTube from Patreon, but it's a multi-tab opening process and I like watch it on YouTube so I can get my after-viewing comments out as quickly as possible.

Anonymous

Maybe a page giving a list of upcoming episodes, just so we know what's coming next.

Reaaa~lly looking forward to the next LiA. As for website options, I'm fond of all the ideas Lestat mentioned--although given your backlog of Patreon requests, a form where people could deluge you with requests seems like it wouldn't be particularly helpful to you. I imagine you already get such requests in basically every comment section. One thing I would definitely like is similar to what Linkara's implemented on his video pages: either a list of random LiA / other videos, or a button to bring up a random video. Sometimes I want to watch Lost in Adaptation but not any particular episode, so a random option would be much appreciated.

This comment has nothing to do with Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. It is about ANOTHER Anne Rice movie adaptation that came out in 1994 (same year as Interview with A Vampire) that most people didn’t realize was based on her book, Exit to Eden. Warning, Exit to Eden’s adaptation will piss you off so much you will want to fight air! I remember actually wanting to see the movie so bad when it first came out but couldn’t and I couldn’t tell you why. Seriously, there was no explanation as to why I never saw it because my mom and I loved the trailer so much. Looking back I now realize I never saw it because Jesus was doing me a solid. 10 years later I’m reading the book and didn’t even know they were the same project until I got to end of the book and saw small blurb mentioning the movie. Exit to Eden was published in 1985 under her pen name Anne Rampling. BDSM is heavily featured and central to the plot (like her Sleeping Beauty Trilogy). Per Wikipedia, “Lisa Kelly manages an isolated BDSM resort called The Club that offers its high-end clients an exclusive setting in which they can experience the life of a Master or Mistress. Prospective submissive slaves, paid at the end of their term at Eden (which varies from six months to two years), are presented at auctions by the most respected Trainers from across the world. As Head Female Trainer and co-founder Lisa gets the first pick of the new slaves and chooses Elliot Slater—with whom she shares immediate and undeniable chemistry that intensifies throughout their time together, eventually resulting in love.” This book was INTENSE and had so many sex scenes. The movie...not so much. I honestly felt bad for everyone who worked on it because it was TRASH! Exit to Eden was a film by Savoy Pictures and directed by GARRY MARSHALL!! Yes! YES! Basically studio used very little from Rice’s book and turned it into a buddy-cop comedy starring...wait for it...ROSIE O’DONNELL & DAN AYKROYD (WHAT.THE.FUDGE?!). Dana Delany, who did full frontal nudity, & Paul Mercurio played title roles. It had a budget of $25-30MM and only made $6.8MM. Everyone hated it and it won Razzies. I’m sorry I’m asking you to subject yourself to another trash movie. ANNNNND I’m NOT SORRY because I NEED YOU TO REVIEW THIS TRASH FILM. PRETTY PLEASE!!!

The slap fight was awesome, Louis is the mom to separate the kids and I note that book Lestat won the slap fight and the argument with movie Lestat XD

I would definitely be down to hear a highlight of all the weird shit in future books. FAQ and behind the scenes blog would be neat to see in the website.

Yes please, more Anne Rice! Those were my jam as a teenager, I HAVE to hear your thoughts on the madness that is Memnoch.

I would absolutely love to see you review each Anne Rice book, you've done a beautiful job with these reviews. Um. TW on some of them... A lot. The Vampire Chronicles and Witch books were basically high school for me.

I would love for you to review all the Anne Rice books. They do get super weird but I still have deep nostalgia for these.

Anonymous

Yes, please do a review of all Rice books.

Whateve you do with your website, PLEASE make part of it dedicated to cat bloopers or bloopers in general, I, for one, would watch a full-length outtakes segment any day.

Thank you for this video; I enjoyed it very much. Did Elise help you here as well? QotD the novel and QotD the movie are two completely opposite things and I do better when I don't consider them in the same series but unique entities on their own. The movie is a guilty pleasure for me. I actually like the music and enjoy watching it. It's campy and flashy and I just love it. Is it true to the book? Not in a long shot. After listening to the director commentary I'm actually okay with this. There IS a lot of material in the two books, and the director mentions to do it justice he would have to do a mini-series. The paring down is his method of working with the suits and making fans everywhere cringe. Hopefully as fans watch they are drawn to investigate the books and Tom Cruise's version. (Though that is a DEEP rabbit hole to go down!) Thank you, Dom!
