101 Dalmatians - Lost In Adaptation

Little details that switched book to movie. 1. Saul Badden got renamed to Horace, no idea why. 2. Tibb's demotion to Sergeant (and sex change, in the book the Leftenant is a "she") is a de-emphasis on the "Colonel Blimp" bits of "The Colonel". In the book, Tibbs is standing in for the Colonel's Driver from the movie of the same name (the third of a set of young ladies who keep turning up in his life, all played by the same actress). In the movie, the Colonel is a bit thicker (needs a clever NCO), and few Americans are familiar with Colonel Blimp. 3. Perdita's litter are part of the bunch found in "Hell Hall". 4. The program the Baddens are watching in the Record Version (Disney always did these back in the vault days, and I am THAT old) is Zorro (we hear the opening credit song).

I heard the interaction between Walt and Dodie was much more peaceful than with P to the L Travers. In fact Dodie loved the introduction scene with Pongo, I think she had a cel of him. She especially loved Cruella's look. Speaking of which, I liked the movie with Emma Stone.
