OK SO.... In addition to the Lost in Adaptation for 101 Dalmations (which is VERY nearly done) I also made this ramble video about the sequel to the book and how I felt like I was losing my mind while reading it, and I thought you might enjoy watching it while you wait for the main video.

If the dogs had agreed to go with Sirius, would the honorary dogs have gone as well? Would they have kidnapped a kid?

I read this in the 80s and remember loving it - science fiction aimed at kids (girls in particular) was far more common at that point than I think people realize these days - girls' comics (such as Bunty, Judy and their ilk) had a few mind-bending SF tales alongside the jolly hockey sticks fare. I remember being somewhat confused about the Prime Minister being referred to as male, since when I read it the PM was a woman and had been all my life!

I also loved this book as a kid! I remember it feeling like wish fulfillment more than a story and I was down. Yes, everybody has superpowers now and that's awesome and I wish every book had a sequel where they all suddenly have powers.
