OK, enough teasing - the mask is off (and staying off)!

My key references for Gwen are the animated character from Into the Spiderverse and the real life cosplayer Shiro-Gane.  If you haven't subbed her patreon (and beware it is quite expensive) you can see a reference here:

It was this picture that first made me fall in love with the character and want to find out everything about her.

In the comics, Gwen is drawn with slightly different hair (she has a hairband) and her look is somewhat androgynous.  However both the movie and the Shiro cosplay feature the look you see above including the piercing above the eye.  This is not normally my kinda thing but it suits her (the suit suits her even more).  It would be easy to go with another big boobed big hipped character but after studying the references I can see that Gwen is wider on the shoulder than the hip and she is not overly developed on the front side.  Her upper arms are really quite developed as you would expect from someone who can swing from a skyscraper and also throw a small truck.

Gwen's enemies in her parellel universe include Daredevil and Frank Castle (The Punisher) who are heroes in normal Earth but she fights bad versions.  I also expect her to encounter Venom and most importantly the Green Goblin who killed the original Gwen Stacy in the normal universe.

Marvel canon is really quite complex and hard to follow at times, probably because of how often they reboot series and pass on to new writers.

If you would rather not know any more and are just here for the visuals I would recommend searching for 'Spider Gwen Cosplay' on Google and see what comes up.  Gwen is actually one of the most cosplayed characters at convention and this is no doubt due to the design of the suit which is just wonderful.

I've given my Gwen a look with almost animated movie proportions (in the movie she has very big eyes and a tiny chin) while staying within the bounds of 'realism'.  I have also injected a subtle dose of Emma Stone who played Gwen as Peter Parker's love interest in the live action movies.

Anyway, that's all for today - hope you like her.  If you do, I have a further treat in store...  (well it is nearly Christmas).

Trying to make me fall in love huh? I love her. Love the suit. I adore that cosplayer. I really liked Emma Stone as Gwen so cheers to that. Love the body shape she reminds me of a gymnast or a ballerina
