This was not done on my computer...

I have a bunch of old Kat hypno pics that I am going to tidy up and post but today I wanted to do something new with her.  I am thinking hard these days about setting up Daz Studio 4 (now I have decent enough hardware) so I agreed to loan Kat to Ultimate Clash to try her out in IRAY.

This was literally the first image that popped out after we finished 90 minutes of installing and setting up all her files plus entering all my morph settings.  I have post worked it a bit but thanks to Ultimate Clash for doing the render.  Render time was around 6 minutes using a GTX 970 and I am hoping I will be able to achieve faster in future with my 1070(!) For me it's not so much a case of if with DS4 but when now.  It a major step - and obviously I have to start all over again in terms of set up - but I do feel that the IRAY renderer has matured enough to produce some results (potentially) a lot better than I currently get in 3Delight.  Now I personally feel that good art is not so much about the quality or realism of the rendering software but about giving the characters a voice, a soul and something interesting to do.  I do enjoy rendering in my current style as it is, but for a long while now it's been 'dated' in terms of the tools I am using.

I expect Ultimate Clash will be posting more of IRAY Kat soon (under licence!!) so do follow his page at https://ultimate-clash.deviantart.com/ where she will be joining Young Amanda and UC's own established characters.

The Shadow Novus

Stunning! I can't help but feel a little bitter though... six minutes in iray....and meanwhile on my end poser11's Superfly takes me like more than an hour to get that effect. but I could also just have an inferior PC as well.

There are a few things that need tweaking especially around her eyes, but it's interesting for sure.
