Surprise announcement before the main post: I have another audiobook out! For those who have been waiting for this, please check it out:

Release periods usually drain me, but it can't stop me this time: the TLS update is too close to finished, so I am productivity incarnate. So back to your regularly scheduled post...

It's happening, guys! Barring a testing problem the likes of which I've never seen before, release next weekend!

Everyone should give huge thanks to Decanter, CyberForte, Annikath, Runcible Technician, and especially Grim8P for assisting with the portraits feature. This includes both making RPG Maker do things it really wasn't designed to do and pushing through a huge amount of work. Without their help this feature might not have existed at all, and the release definitely would have been delayed another week or more.

Originally I was going to post a screenshot of the finished feature, but I forgot and don't want to go back. Instead, have a different screenshot: this is one of the denser maps in the game in terms of events:

I want the endgame to have a variety of content. Yes, some quests will send you across the entire world, but others will be densely concentrated in one location. That one you see up there has been... so much work. It's not even that complex, there's just a lot of pieces.

This update as a whole is more "interesting" than "challenging". The combat is very puzzle-fighty, and in a way I wish I'd balanced it with a more conventional dungeon. The quests will be pretty easy to optimize. However, I think this is good content that will help balance out the endgame as a whole. Those who want new character interactions should be very happy.

Finally, last week I put out another art preview, so you can look forward to five new illustrated scenes in the upcoming release. See you then!

Hey that's awesome, I'm a huge fan of Travis. Most from his Rebel Galaxy games but turns out he's good at writing and talking too. I'll have to pick it up.

Going full on tinfoil hat from that image alone, and theorizing that Orilise, Lynine and Altina share their quest

I was sitting with my wife when this hit my phone and I read it to her. > Originally I was going to post a screenshot of the finished feature, but I forgot and don't want to go back. This made her burst out laughing and she said "I love her, she's so relatable." Thought you might enjoy her musings. Also you are most welcome as always. I'm excited to see what people think of the feature. I think it is pretty cool myself. =D

Currently playing the game again after a long break, time for a lot of open world content to have accumulated. Still got many character quests to do, but sounds like I'm on pace to be caught up just in time for the next update. Oddity that I'm not sure is a bug or a feature: If you invest in Ziranta Infrastructure after the Incubus War, you don't unlock Biyue's scene and can't get an idea anymore of how Zirantia is faring by talking to her (the comment is always the same regardless of Zirantia country score).

Long Tran

Nice! Looking forward to it!

Not being able to unlock Biyue's scene is intentional, but her no longer having dialogue based on Zirantia score... it looks like she still checks it, her dialogue just isn't broken down into as many tiers. Hope you enjoy your return to the game! New content soon. ^-^

Micro-bug, possibly already reported/fixed: During her personal quest, the initial evaluation from Wynn (the one she gives after coming back to process the first wave of data) has Intensity and Accuracy switched compared to the notebook: https://imgur.com/a/MiAA3jD

sierralee

Nope, not reported! They were originally flipped in her notebook event and I forgot about this one. Fixed it, thanks!
