September 18 Update (Patreon)

The TLS update is out and stable, which is nice, but no time to rest! I will have more things for patrons at all tiers soon.

Once I didn't post weekly updates when there was already a release that weekend, but lately there's just too much stuff. This week it's The Brightest Shadow themed, not by design. First there is a worldbuilding post with a full world map, for those interested.

The unexpected piece is the above fanart of Tani. Actually, these are just sketches prior to theoretical final art by RobotCat. When they contacted me I was a little skeptical that they just wanted me to commission them, but they're actually offering various art in exchange for nothing but a little recognition and collaboration. It's nice to get this sort of enthusiasm for your work. ^-^

Minor possible typo report from the forums: Headquarters/Headquarters B1 (027,020) Page 2 (i.e. Uyae): "I respected you more because you reject me. Indeed, I embarrassed how I tried so hard..." It's suggested this should read "I'm embarrassed". I suspect that the situation is actually that this is an intentional grammar gaffe emphasizing Uyae's emotional state in her Clentian as Second Language, but am passing it on anyway.

Yes, it's intentional. Uyae's Clentian begins smooth, but as she grows flustered there are an increasing number of errors until she switches to Zirantian.

I hope that the pinkie out on the held knife is intentional. In universe that would explain a lot, considering.

Got another minor report, this time from the Discord. Right now in the Garden of Earth, Tertia's 3rd code page is blocked off after the Incubus War by the 4514: Post IK switch, which enables the 5th code page. But the dialogue allowing Tertia to help with the Rodak Agriculture project is only present on the 3rd page. So anyone who fails to explore Rodak and discuss the agriculture problems there with Tertia prior to the Incubus War, the possibility to do so is removed. Basically I think replicating the dialogue and game logic from page 3 at the start of page 5 if switch 4114 is off and self switch 767, 18, "A" is on will solve the problem. (Just not the bit about Tertia saying she needs more research if the Denlak self switch is not on.)

Hmm, okay. Thanks for the report. I'm unclear exactly which line you mean about the Denlak part. If it's her line in the main Else branch, that whole section shouldn't exist on page 5.

I did mean the POST-GATHERING conditional on the else on page 3. My concern with that line was that replicating the whole chain in page 5 would prevent that chat options further down, but that idea now looks a bit misguided, now that I think about it. I'm sure you can figure it out for yourself.
