I'm feeling good, lots of raw creativity flowing. Relaxing some was probably healthy for me, but being deep in the creative process makes me truly feel like myself.

Once again, doing all kinds of things this week:
 - Lots of business stuff coming my way regarding the Ouroboros release, but I've been pleased how well I've been able to knock it out and not lose my rhythm.
 - Ouroboros testing is underway for $10 backers. I don't have any exact schedule in mind for its release, but whoo, it feels close.
 - Also having a lot of fun making major building blocks for Kingdom of Deception, but you can find out more about that over at Hreinn Games.

But this post will be mostly about TLS! Working on this update makes me happy in a lot of different ways. I'm finally getting to do my full plans for different languages being in different colors. I think it's felt like an affectation so far, but I hope it will pay off in this update, since there are language learning aspects and whole conversations in other languages.

This update will also hit some character notes I've been waiting to do. I've tried to be careful pacing the character development over the entire game, otherwise you'd get a chunk of game all about one person, then they'd just sit back while new characters get development. Getting to do some character things I've had in mind for a long time.

Choosing between Lynine and Orilise will make this update play in one of two different ways. I'm trying to make the two routes both feel like they cover the necessary plot well, while still feeling very different. A lot of the above stuff is basically written, but this part I'm still working on.

One thing that will slow me down is that I hope to do another parallaxed map, a dungeon this time. Since I've set up the convention that the Darghelon/Gheldaron forests can have parallax-size trees, I think it feels appropriate to have more than one area using that look. This one I haven't started on yet, but I think it will be a good cap to the elvish phase of the plot.

Anyway, that's the situation! More info next weekend, or sooner if things keep moving at this speed.

Wooo! I've got my 2 saves ready to go, Sane, and not so Sane Altina for each side. I'm looking forward to seeing the differences in both paths, and will make sure to share feedback.

Sounds fun. I'm mildly concerned about whole conversations in conlangs, but I'll have faith.

No worries, I'm not conlanging that hard. When a conversation is entirely in Storgan, I render it in English, just <i>green</i> English. The previous green text was to try to introduce the concept of green = Storgan, and to introduce a few words that remain the same even when under translation. My hope was that this would actually avoid throwing a lot of conlang at players.
