NOTICE: My home internet is down. -_- I'm getting this release out via a cafe, but obviously I can't camp out here all the time. So I especially hope this release is not bugged, because I may be MIA for the next while.

That aside: new version of the game! You should have a message with the link shortly. (At least I hope... Patreon's new format is less clear about group messages.)

PLEASE NOTE: This release was sent via Patreon to people who pledged before March 1st. If you pledged since then, you won't receive the message. If you would like to pledge and get it right now, contact me via PM and we can make alternate arrangements.

Version 0.17.0

 - All events in Ardford are finished, as is the second chapter!

 - Three new plot sex scenes.

 - Various minor changes throughout.

Some key details for anyone using a save from 0.16.x:

 - Talk to the cloaked figure beside your room.

 - Replay the Givini poorhouse scene via Reflect.

 - Your quest log is going to be massively screwed up, don't report it as a bug.

Anyway, while I'm proud of this release, I really hope the quality is up to my usual standard. There are a lot of moving parts that could go wrong invisibly, especially with the summit votes.

The development period was also pretty rough. This release does not have any of the music or battler changes I spoke about, but I plan to get those into 0.17.1 before it's released. Thanks to everyone who sent me their music selections, I have more than enough and will now just start making decisions. We'll see if there's time for any other cosmetic changes.

The thing I'm least sure about this update is balance. Let me know if the difficulty seems off anywhere. Especially for the optional hidden port area (you'll know it when you see it): I intended it to be an endurance test that forces you to use more than one party via draining resources. Let me know how difficult you found it, plus your average party level and if you used any items.

Moving away from the game for a second, you'll notice that Patreon has forced everyone to use the new format. I'm sure it's better for some creators, like YouTubers, but it is less than ideal for projects like this one. If you have time and feel like being part of the cause, please send Patreon a complaint about the main page getting hidden once you become a backer. This is an obnoxious change they don't give us a choice about, so I'm hoping they'll reconsider making it mandatory.

With the new format comes a new header, because the old one looked bad like this. I will be swapping this one between several alternatives Nomo gave me, but right now I'm going for visual diversity.

All of this aside, I really am pretty happy with this update and I hope everyone enjoys it. I will make some announcements about what's happening next over the coming days, but first I need to focus on finishing the cosmetic stuff for 0.17.1.
