Okay, I've made my decision: I'm going to put OEA slightly on the backburner, but not all the way. I still intend to spend some time moving it forward, especially as pieces of artwork or other components come in, but there's not enough regular work to justify keeping it as my focus.

I could show some more new assets, but I think they're better saved for their moments in the game. I've also done dull stuff like making new character sprites to match other assets - they won't be unique to the project, but all the details will match, and that's worth something.

One issue has come up: I don't think it's possible to create soldiers. All the Order of Tales soldiers need to be in face-covering gold armor, and that doesn't seem to be possible in MV by default. I know I have dabblers in MV around here, so does anyone know of a good way around this? Sprite artists, someone who knows one of the other character editors, anything. If you know about creating sprites of this type, please contact me!

Anyway, the excess non-OEA time this week led to me getting a ton of stuff done! That novella I mentioned is finished, and you guys will get to read it in time. I think the IRS will finally accept my taxes after the most recent round. I've prepped for the audiobook release coming up on Tuesday. All kinds of side stuff is off my plate, which is a nice feeling.

Back next week, hopefully with developments along multiple fronts.

character image or moving sprite? Do you need an animated walk cycle?

Moving sprite, referred to as "Walk Character" in the generator. It doesn't need to be flashy, but it needs to be gold armor.
