This week I spent a bunch of time updating old areas. Some will have new events or quests, but for many of them I'm just filling out the world. I was always disappointed with RPGs where you advance the plot and no one says anything different. I plan to keep changing NPCs throughout the game. It's nothing critical, but hopefully that will give your actions some more weight. One of my goals with this game has always been that it won't just say, "You rule everything and have all the money and women" - I want players to feel like those things matter, insofar as anything fictional matters. I also created one of this version's major events and it got a little crazy. If you play once you'll only see one path, but there are a ton of different variations. I... may have gone overboard. There was a point where I found myself thinking, "I'm making pornography, what am I doing with a moral choice like this?" but I pressed on. All I tried to do was let players choose their fetish (I think many people will want things to go one way or the other), but that leads to complications. My goal is for there to be no guilt with either choice - they're not right or wrong, just choices based on your preferences. Have to admit, I got a little down this week. The boosted popularity of the game means enormously increased feedback, and it's easy to get lost in that kind of thing. Everybody wants something different and you have to hold on to your original vision of the project. I think I got through it okay, but it made it hard to write too many sex scenes. I poured all that writing time and effort into maps and events, though. We're on track to release in two weeks or so. This should be a broad update with lots to do, a ton of sex, and more choices than usual (because I'm setting up for something ^-^).

I'm glad you got past people making demands. Don't worry about the people who think they are buying your time. Listen to those of use us who support what YOU want to do. Take my money and use it to create your game. Singular visions are almost always better than things decided by committee. :)

While I can't speak for everyone, I, for one, appreciate your efforts to make the world feel dynamic. As a compulsive gamer, I try to find all the details, so it is always a pleasure then they're included. Although I've been busy the last couple of weeks and unable add to the deluge of feedback, I am one of those people who eagerly shares his opinion. Still, I do understand that it's my opinion. While I may provide feedback, offer suggestions or occasionally play devil's advocate, I never intend for you to feel obligated to heed it. One of the easiest ways to make a story that will please nobody is to try to please everyone. The most important thing you can do is follow your vision and passion. That will please the player more than any attempt to cater to their particular tastes. There has been too much entertainment ruined by focus groups; I'd hate to see your story suffer a similar fate. Now, though, I'm curious about this great moral choice. My first guess would be Robin. Some people find incest really hot; others find it repugnant. Still, if you don't feel like elaborating, I guess I'll find out in two weeks or so. Either way, I applaud your attempt to not punish players for making what you consider to be the correct choice. Which isn't to say I feel the player should be never be punished for making poor decisions, but, from your description, this doesn't sound like one of those times. As always, looking forward to the next release.

It's not Robin, but it does have to do with two characters you've met briefly before. I felt like this was a good place for the game to be flexible, so I tried to write accordingly. Many other elements, however, will not be so player-driven. Robin is one of those - I made it pseudo-incest to blunt the squick for people who really dislike it, but it's happening. Just... not right away.

If one man's opinion means anything, I think of what I've played so far as being a fun, solid RPG with a plot that skillfully confronts the morality within adult elements that a lot of games are afraid to tackle. The choices and paths you've made so far have both made sense and felt significant in the greater story - both things which a lot of adult games have trouble doing well - and the wide cast of characters with all of their separate drives and beliefs do much to enrich the whole of it. I really enjoyed the lastest content with Hilstara, and I'm glad to hear that you plan to have several paths available when it comes to interacting with them all. Anyway, I'm with Xisis: you've made your goals and vision for this project clear from the get-go, and you've done great work on it so far. I consider my money to be well spent, and I have no reason to believe that that will change with you at the helm. Without exaggeration, TLS has been one of the best H-games I've played in years, and I'm looking forward to the next release.

I would like give my thought on the matter... The best thing you can do when facing so much feedback take the time you need so you are sure that the changes comes in are the one you feel is the best for the game :)

I like your game even before it got nowadays popularity. And I believe that your got those popularity from following your own vision. Also, I am really appreciate on your aim toward that dynamic world. It really make the game feel 'real' and what the Main Character did meaningful (and the game very enjoyable, at least for me).

I came here to say exactly this. The thing that sets TLS apart from many other h-games is the attention to detail and the care that has been put into sculpting a compelling story. Those elements are what has brought game's popularity, and I doubt that more of the same will make anyone unhappy. So just keep crafting the game that you want to see, because it's obvious that many others want to see more of it as well.

Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate it!

Yes, YES, FRACKING YES! The fact that you and I are of the same mind where RPGs do not show change in the environment or NPCs after major or relevant game events/scenes makes me want to dance with glee. I really appreciate the level of detail you are showing in the game and devotion to the story development. It is indeed the little things that matter, and having NPCs that adapt to progress made in the game will really add to the immersion for me. I am curious if the major event you mention is Aka's transformation as it was pretty major when it was announced in game and Aka has been worried about it, despite enjoying the "temporary measures." Simon's loving has provided. That really feels like a scene that would be subject to player fetish/different variations depending on choices. I am confident that you accomplished what you set out to do, as you have yet to fail us and show no sign of starting to. I am glad that you are staying to YOUR vision for the game. While I have always been thankful that you were willing to listen to feedback and talk about it, I have liked the story that you are telling more and it is YOURS. They are your characters in the world you have created, we as the players are always going to be playing catchup and as such should not be trying to dictate the story. That being said, can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve next :)

I'll echo others' sentiments that the vision as expressed still sounds good to us, lovingly crafted details like reactive NPCs definitely included. Also want to say this includes those meaningful choices, moral and and amoral. Part of what I like about this project is you seem to have looked around, seen a false dichotomy common in h-gaming - good game or good erotica - and asked "Why not both?" I'm curious about the nature of the kinks we're choosing between, though. I can't think of many that are mutually exclusive in a player, especially that are likely to both be choices for Simon.
