Many of the weekly updates have been pretty long lately. Let's see if I can't keep this one short.

I've begun serious work on TLS 0.39.0. Earlier this week I put together my comprehensive list of notes: everything that will factor into the ecclesiastical summit, everything that needs to happen, and everything that will be decided. It's... a big list. Make no mistake, I love this kind of thing, but right now I'm at the "Well, I hope I can do this right" stage of work.

Still have some other stuff hanging over me, so I'm doing some more writing as a secondary creative task. Going okay, maybe more about it later. Meanwhile, the image for this post is another character from The Brightest Shadow.

I'm looking at that picture and my fingers are aching thinking about braiding :-) All of the TBS art so far has been instantly recognisable, which is a good sign both for the artist and the characters.

Glad to hear you're keepin' on keepin' on. If it's of interest, I finally finished the monstrous non-fiction writing project I've been whining at you about this afternoon. It's only 90,000 words, which is still 19 times more than a long academic journal article. 2/3rds are what you'd call appendices though. Now I just have to find some masochists working in the appropriate field...

Oh man. Can't wait to nitpick every line of dialogue trying to read between the lines ... and after hours of mulling it over ultimately make the wrong decision lol.

Sarai as a figure that believes in some fundamental tenants of her organization but finds herself constrained and confounded by opportunists and dogma is sympathetic as hell, even in her conversation with Hester she sees it as necessary to hide her true self, hope she gets some justice here. Take as long as you need this update like the first conference will be a significant part of what distinguishes this game from less intricate projects.
