Really liked this video and totally agree with you about the animator expo. Hopefully we'll continue to see things like it that promote original concepts and new talent.

Digi, please don't underestimate the value of this kind of content. So much of what is hard about getting into a new medium or maturing an existing perspective is having a knowledgeable and accessible guide. You do both really well and I feel the voice in your work comes from a person who understands what it's like to be a newbie confronted with complexities and competing interpretations (hence "memes that need to die"). A lot of times I am able to analyze a work in a traditional sense: it's execution, use of typical (in a Western sense) literary devices, and the more basic anime tropes. But what I cannot do is bring to bear the analysis and perspective of someone who knows the history, context, business, creators, practices (especially animation) and constraints that went into a vast sample size of anime that you have access to. This is what you instruct on and do so well that I love. Thank you for making an art form that I liked a lot, but only dabbled with, one of the main sources of expression in my life. Now with this video I have an idea of what the future might be like and what to hope for.
