I really dislike Eva, but listening to you talk about the things it does right is fascinating and helps me to understand why it's such a seminal work. It's not often I like hearing people rhapsodize about something I dislike. Kudos :)

I went from absolutely hating Eva to thinking of it as a 9/10 partly because Digi helped me to appreciate so many subtle features of the show. It also helped that the show sat like a splinter in my mind. And so I obsessed over it until I watched it 5x times and began to appreciate what was created. But it was a long and confusing journey.
