Hey guys! We start off the new year with our FIRST MOVIE MONDAY night of the year with some TRUE LIES!!! I'm surprised this movie has never won a poll before because it was SO FREAKIN GOOD. (i know i'm not the harshist critic but still) IT WAS SO GOOD LMAO thank you to whoever recommended it :) Next off we watch Dungeons and dragons as it seems to be winning the poll! HAPPY NEW YEAR AGAIN💖 and hope this year is better than the last :)

P.S. I did have to grab my own copy for this! :)

Just in time for the 4k release James Cameron did last month. Very nice. If anyone does have to buy it, it's on sale currently at least pretty much everywhere for $10.

This is probably my favorite Arnold movie, It has action and comedy my two favorite genres.

This movie is so well done, the characters are just so funny but also kind of believable, the characters make bad jokes, and good jokes, like when harry's coworkers are mocking him, it's so good. The characters feel real is what I'm trying to say. For a James Cameron movie it doesn't get a lot of hype, but it's so good.

For just a fun movie sometime, you might want to check out Blast from the Past - 1999, Brendan Frasier, Alicia Silverstone, Christopher Walken. Interesting twist on a fish out of water comedy.

And my obligatory, ongoing request - check out Person of Interest sometime. Very unique series, 2011-2016, highly rated, and ahead of its time. Also, it's an interesting alt-history take on today's events with AI, world affairs, etc.

Oh! And nuclear weapons are pretty durable. Shooting, fire, and nearby explosions would be more likely to break the weapon than to set it off.

so a little real world explanation on the runaway Ingram: while the scene where it falls down the steps and shoots all of those terrorists is exaggerated for the sake of Hollywood story crafting, the genesis of that malfunction is based on a real life design flaw in the mac-10. It fires from an open bolt which has to proceed forward to strip off a round from the magazine and then the firing pin causes the round to fire. Unfortunately, enough of a jolt to the reciprocating cocking lever on the top of the weapon can cause the weapon to fire on its own, so that dropping the submachine gun can fairly easily cause an accidental discharge. I suppose the idea behind the stair case shenanigans was that she dropped the weapon and the charging handle was bumped multiple times to keep causing the weapon to fire and at least some of the rounds went in to the area where the terrorists were approaching. The other part of that equation is that the mac-10 has a VERY high cyclic rate, around 1200 rounds a minute, meaning the weapon would most likely be empty halfway down the stairs or even earlier.....TMYK

1:04:12 - that agent took a nut shot and then he was the one going "Son of a bitch". Then we don't see him get back in he gave up but I would too. Lol I'd always keep the balls protected when apprehending a woman lol
