Merry Christmas V

It's so good seeing the parallels of Fring using his chicken restaurant as a cover for his operations and Walt using the car wash as a cover for his money and when Walt is talking to Lydia and trying to play it off like he's just the owner reminds me so much of how Gus would be at Los Pollos when Walt would see him. Walt places a towel under his knees in front of the toilet like Gus did. The show even points in that direction when Mike tells Walt: "Just because you shot Jesse James, don't make you Jesse James". Jesse James was a famous train robber. Two episodes later Walt and Jesse's train heist plan is successful. Mike was wrong about Walt, people like to give Mike too much credit because he's more appealing even though he's a criminal too. Walt had to take out Gus for Walt safety or his family's. What, was Walt supposed to just roll over? There were no pitchforks when Walter killed Krazy-8.

Walt is Badass villain and I love it.

Lorenzo Baxter

Walt "kind of" admitted things to Hank. He didn't say anything actually incriminating though. Nothing Hank could really use. He was saying "what ifs" and what's the point to try and go forward. Thats not incriminating, just trying to dissuade him from prosecuting and continuing to investigate. That final scene was so tense and also pretty sad. Hank was clearly angry and shocked, but he also looked sad. Walt was someone who Hank loved and respected, seeing it all come together and completely destroyed everything he thought he knew.

Honestly you’re right, Hank should’ve just watched the first 4 seasons

There's only one bathroom in their house. Walter had to pee in the kitchen sink a couple seasons ago when Skyler was using the bathroom

Walt could not let Jesse give the money to Mike's granddaughter, because like Saul said, the money would just get confiscated again and this could ultimately lead back to Jesse and Walt. Also, he wants Jesse to believe that Mike is still alive. Skyler does not know about the cancer. Walt pulled out his meds from a hiding spot under the sink and he turned on the water so no one would hear him throw up.

To be fair, the fact that it's a three bedroom house with one bathroom is pretty bonkers!

Jacob Lunbeck

When Walt tells Hank to "tread lightly" he is showing how far he has fallen. Walt is a man who does everything for his family, right up to the moment they become an obstacle for him.

Bouncing off your Christmas post - This has been a pretty rough December for me. 2021 was pretty bad for me, but 2022 and 2023 were good until this December hit. Your Breaking Bad reactions have been (one of) my main motivations for the month, and seeing your reactions to this as well as Gremlins, Barbie, Home Alone and Jingle All The Way made my month better. Thank you. That being said - we're in the final stretch. I can't wait to see your reaction to the final episodes of Breaking Bad.

About to watch. You are recovering, I am misery-ing.... Damn covid got me.

Walt should have put the tracker back like Gus did. I think it was dumb to admit guilt to Hank, because Hank had no real evidence against Walt until Walt gave it to him.

I have the "tread lightly " shirt., not a bad fan-shirt.

Josiah Kane

Walt has no idea what evidence Hank has or doesn't have. He saw all those boxes in the garage without any way of knowing whether or not they contained enough evidence to sink him. Also, to quote Better Call Saul, "there's proving and there's knowing". Walt knows that Hank knows. That's enough to tear the family apart.

What a journey it's been! My household has also been sick with covid/flu/etc for a month, and I fell behind and finally caught up today with you on BB. Glad you are recovering! It's been interesting to see you resist accepting Walt being a truly bad guy until earlier in this Season 5. To me, watching BB again with you, I see that it was gradual through all seasons. It's tough to accept someone you've beloved as a bad person when it happens so gradually, and I think this happens in this show and also in real life often. I think if we met Walt today, without knowing his past, we would immediately see him as a really bad guy. Anyways, great reactions to this show, please keep it up with all the talking and all! These last 8 episodes are some of the most excellent TV ever IMO.

I’ve never seen another bathroom in their house. Maybe I’m wrong… I don’t know… This is an important discussion

Cole Troutman

I looked it up cause I always wondered why Hank used their bathroom. Honestly always thought it was because that was the only bathroom but I never thought how dumb that would be until I watched this. They said it was just because Hank didn't want to blow up the "public" bathroom... makes sense but yeah I don't think we ever saw the other one

Cole Troutman

Hang in there man... 2021 was the worst year of life for me. Slowly been getting better since but this holiday month has been a rough reminder of those times. Watching these helps me too

Steve H

This house belongs to someone, and they dont want to clean the other bathroom as often. lol

Tom Fehr

i wouldn't say walt admitted anything to hank, he was careful with his words obviously, but certainly he talked to him with the understanding that both of them know that they both know

Johnathon Healey

the line directly before this one is him saying Hanks not taking his family away from him???

Johnathon Healey

and if the place was bugged, he states my right hand to god I'm a dying man that runs a car wash - the same thing he'd be doing in court as well
