Oh I'm so happy you watched this, I highly recommend Moonrise Kingdom think you would really enjoy that, just watched your intro and youv already seen it, oh well any other of his films would still be good to check out

Matt

I'm also still hoping for a Ruby Sparks reaction I know you would also love that

Fantastic reaction Vee! So many great actors! Great camerawork! Dialogue! (Also - your nail game today is on point.) I've worked in hotels for 30+ years now. So this movie has a spot on my all-time fav list. Glad you enjoyed it! And thank you for continuing to entertain us! Looking forward to you posting your NatVee collab.

Literally everyone is in this movie. Not even kidding. The film is based upon 2 very long books called Beware of Pity and the World of Yesterday by an Austrian author nobody has ever heard of called Stefan Zweig who ends the 2nd work with: "But every shadow is ultimately also the daughter of light, and only he who has known light and darkness, war and peace, rise and fall, only this one has truly lived."

Probably my favourite movie. I think you said at one point it looked like stop motion animation and then in the chase scene you asked how they did it well, it is stop motion animation. Ever since Life Aquatic Wes Anderson has included animation scenes and techniques in his live action movies. A reaction to one of his fully animated movies would also be fun.

This was great - really hoping you'll see The French Dispatch, another recent Wes Anderson movie!

I have a digital copy of this, if anyone needs one.

That actress that plays Agatha is Saoirse Ronan she's been in some great movies most notably Lady Bird 2017 and Little Woman 2019 both Greta Gerwig films if you haven't seen them I highly recommend them, Greta Gerwig is the director of the new Barbie movie so kind of a big deal at the moment

The beauty of this movie, and of it's brotherhood of treating customers well with pride of one's work is great. I saw this movie when I was a movie theater usher, and at the time I considered it a fairly similar job to being a "lobby boy", it made me want to be better at it. Although there were some things I hated about working there, I worked there for 8 years, so I also fell in love with the old theater a bit like Zero did.

mhm :) I loved Moonrise Kingdom and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

vkunia

hehe thank you :) I totally get that and I agree! So many great parts to this movie ❤️❤️

That's so cute, you mustve felt a connection to Zero a bit when you were watching it then :)

I really do adore this movie. It is also an amazing example of unreliable narration. Think about the source of the story. This is happening in the mind of a girl from a book she is reading. In the book the author is talking about a time in the past where he heard a story from someone else recalling something from their youth. What is real? Is any of it real? Is the bright and pastel colors from the girls mind? This movie has multiple layers on top of an interesting tale. You can watch it 5 times over just to guess who's mind it telling you about each scene.
