Thomas Yanez

September? October?

Eric Denney

Think you've lost track of time lol

Tyler Gorash

Show suggestion, American Rust season 1!

Jesse Darty

If you're open to anime, Trigun is awesome.

James M

Awesome update! Still enjoying your reacts and reviews. BSG (Battlestar Galactica 2004-2009) for next TV series candidate!

James M

Of course if you do BSG the TV series, you must do the BSG The Miniseries (2 parts) that debuted before the TV series.

Bruce Bromley

I've always preferred DC comics as well growing up. The DC films though have been hit and miss. All the Marvel films have been top tier. I've enjoyed all reactions, no need to change a thing. :-)

Matt

MR ROBOT

Kelvin

Show suggestion: darkplace for something short and sweet

darby72

Do you have preference for doing shorter shows? Because if not, given how much you loved Firefly, I would suggest Buffy the Vampire Slayer (unless you've already seen it, I'm pretty new here). Also, really happy you're doing the Marvel movies. Will have to move tiers for that!

LightsCameraJake

Since Veterans day is coming up I think the next show should be a mini series I'm thinking Tom Hanks/ Steven Spielberg's "Band of Brothers" 10 episodes long. 👉👈

Nemo

Attack on Titan. Best show ever. But if you decide to watch it. You need a seriously good moderator on your side because it is very spoilerable (I don't know if that's a word but..)

RocktSurgeon

I guess I have to throw The Expanse out there, since it’s such a great show. Deep Politics, honestly by far the most scientifically accurate sci-fi show ever made, great characters.. very worth seeing.

Anonymous

Clone Wars! First the 2003 mini series and then the 2008 show in chronological order

Anonymous

Question: Does you mostly not having watched Marvel mean you also haven’t seen the non MCU Spider Man movies? Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Into the Spider Verse? Because at least two of those are going to be relevant down the line Oh yeah, also X Men?

Faron Henderson

Oops. Commented on the video and not here. Well it's been fun. I must bid you adieu. Thank you.

MenuMitch

Band of Brothers, or Invincible. A short 1 season series and a short anime with only 1 season out right now, both incredibly moving :)

MenuMitch

I am so excited to see you watch the MCU, I've seen it through completely many times, but just as with LoTR and Star Wars, your reaction to it will be amazing and will increase the enjoyability even more.

Matt Gwinn

I'm really hoping you blow through the MCU stuff or add another movie day to the weekly schedule, because I don't think I'm up for rewatching all of them for the watch alongs. Here are some great TV show I highly recommend: Deadwood Ozark The Wire OZ Dexter Battlestar Galactica What We Do in the Shadows Lost Buffy the Vampire Slayer

SebastianTheCourtious

Band of brothers is a highly recommended show to watch. It has impacted me more than any show ever have!!!

Chris Chatham

Have you looked at Stargate?

Eric Janssen

I got a crazy idea - When is some reactor going to do X-Men: the 90’s Animated Series, fresh off of Disney+? That way, we get an anime-like fix WITH our MCU.

Eric Janssen

Not all anime studios are Studio Ghibli
How about some other vintage anime classics, to get back on the horse? (Anyone catch the Kickstarter to get Dirty Pair: Project Eden dubbed on Blu-ray? It’s been on DVD for years.)

Mr. Writhms

Which MCU films have you seen? For a series... How about the new "Twilight Zone" (2019) series. There are 2 seasons.

Raven Dark

Buffy the Vampire Slayer for a show.

Calbert

I am excited to see your MCU reactions. If you are looking for a new show I would recommend Avatar the last air bender. Also you should react to the Harry Potter movies if you haven’t already seen them.

Eric Janssen

How about the OLD Twilight Zone series, which could beat the pants off of any timid, pretentious 21st cty. pretender and twice on Sundays?

Richard Maurer

Release order is the only way to go. Chronological only changes the order of two movies (or 3 if you include Black Widow) but a lot of stuff in those movies will be out of context. Anyone telling you to watch in chronological order is probably just messing with you.

Tiger Chu

Ted Lasso

Have enjoyed my first month on here.

With regards to series. I agree that Band of Brothers is a great and powerful show. I will also add two more. Altered Carbon and Happy just to be a little alt.

Robert Jewell

Being yourself seems to be a winning strategy. Although apparently I don't have a life since I didn't do anything for Halloween except put out treats for kiddie ghouls and princesses, haha. I don't think I've seen a single Marvel movie so I'll have to step out for that series. It would be cool for you to watch older classics like from the 1970d back because there are some truly great masterpieces in those eras. Thanks! 👍

Anonymous

For your next show I suggest Breaking Bad. A great show with great actors performances !

AC5555

I personally want the reactors to see more stuff that’s not the trend. Definitely not endless repeats of all these classic blockbusters and franchise stuff. It’s been done to death. I wish they’d take a chance and explore foreign films, Arthouse cinema, Classic Hollywood (1920s to 60s).

PickettsChargingPort

"I do hope the crew is going to stick together and live happily ever after. -Joss Whedon: First time, huh?

Michael Wilson

I definitely agree with quite a few other post for band of brother. It’s probably one of my favorite series that I can watch over and over. If you want to add to it because it’s only ten episodes then you could watch the pacific which came out a few years after that and was also created by Tom hanks and Spielberg

TJ Bigelow

TV Shows - Russian Doll (2019) - Marvel's Jessica Jones (2015) - Sense 8 (2015) - Warehouse 13 (2009) - Lovecraft Country (2020) - Mindhunter (2017) - Fringe (2008) - I, Zombie (2015) - Sherlock (2010, 4 seasons) - Rome (2005) - Spartacus (2010) - Six Feet Under (2001) - Dead Like Me (2003) - Twin Peaks (1990) - Farscape (1999) - Lexx (1997) - Lie to Me (2009)

JayF

I'll join the others asking for you to react to Band of Brothers BUT I will also beg you to react to the documentary We Stand Alone Together after you finish the series. It's a documentary that contains all of the interviews you see at the beginning and end of the episodes plus a lot more. Other shows to consider - The Wire (not sure if the amount of nudity will be too much for you though) The Rookie (currently running show in its 4th season and stars Nathan Fillion). Excellent blend of action, comedy, and drama. Resident Alien (only one season but has been renewed. Very funny and stars Alan Tudyk)

MotoDork

If you’ve not seen the MCU films, then yes release order is the only way to watch them.

Ian

Weird my post disappeared OK short version instead then, ty vicky for a great October and being able to be part of your birthday celebrations was so nice, you're enjoy the mcu I have no doubt and although it's a lot of movies it's not as daunting as it seems you're fly through them, new series um OK just a few cuz I'm new Ted lasso, cobra kai, the last kingdom, OZARK

Seymor Butz

Shows: Lie to me Warehouse 13 Battlestar galactica The magicians

Tom Evans

I always preferred DC over Marvel too until I watched the MCU. Now I'm totally converted. Marvel heroes are deeply flawed characters, not perfect beacons of righteousness, so I think they are much more interesting. And Superman is OP.

Jayson Phillips

Movies: Now you see me 1 and 2 X-Men series DC movies Shazam RED 1 and 2 I am number 4 Sorcerer's Apprentice Easy A Jason Bourne series The Craft New Star Trek movies Ender's Game Men of Honor General's Daughter A few Good Men Courage Under Fire The 5th wave Star Gate The Last Witch Hunter Limitless Taken 1,2 Barely Lethal Vampire's Academy Kingsman 1 and 2 Jupiter Ascending

Jayson Phillips

As for TV series: Battlestar Galactica, IZombie, Smallville, The NEVERS

Richard Maurer

While I was a marvel fan first (comics), I did give DC a chance, both comics and movies, and I reached the same conclusion. Marvel heroes have always seemed more like real humans, and Superman is so ridiculously powerful I wonder why the Justice League even bothers showing up.

Chris LĂŒders

Hello Vee, it's really nice that you had a great October and especially seeing you on your birthday was really amazing. I'm glad you really enjoyed the day and that you felt very comfortable. đŸ€— So please stay safe and sound, because it's getting colder and probably time for the next Covid vaccination. 😉 I am really confident that November will be as good as October and I look forward to your reactions. I like what you do and am absolutely fine with the way you do it, so I can't think of any point of criticism right now. Here are some suggestions for a new TV show with different genres, amount of epsisodes/seasons, storylines and from different decades. 😉 - Battlestar Gallactica (2004 - 2009 + 2 mini series + 3 movies) -> my personal favorite - Caprica (2010, prequel to BSG, plays 58 years earlier), makes more sence after BSG even if it's a prequel. - North and South (1985, 1986, 1994) - Lucifer (2016 - 2021) - Black Sails (2014 - 2017) - Hornblower (1998 - 2003) - Blackadder (1983 - 1986) - Sherlock (2010 - 2017) - Shogun (1980)

Eric Janssen

Why not the OLD Star Trek movies? Why watch two fanboy cribbings of Wrath of Khan, when you can watch the original and move on?

Checo Lara

I have a suggestion, I don't know what the other patreons think, but what if you do a special event in December for the end of the year reacting to the best movies of 2021? I think thats a good idea, obviously reacting to those movies that you haven't seen yet in 2021. So far I think that some of the best movies in this year are: -Dune -The Suicide Squad -Last Night in Soho -Nobody -The Green Night -Prisoners of the Ghost Land -Cry Macho -Nightmare Alley (not yet in cinemas but i think it also would be a great movie) I would be cool if the other patreons give more suggestions.

MCL-1984

I Think it would be great if sometime beginning next year you suggest for movie polls categories for genre and year. Like SCIFI, Drama, or Comedy movies from 1980's or 1990's. I have a number of films from those eras that I would like to suggest, especially SCIFI Movies from the 1980's. But now I put my support behind the already suggested TV shows: - Marvels Jessica Jones - Netflix's The Umbrella Academy - Mr. Robot - Sherlock (BBC) - Westworld (HBO Series) - Black Sails (Starz Series) - BlackAdder (Classic BBC Series) - Monty Python (BBC) I would love to see you react to this crazy British Show. And I would like to throw my support to following current movies to react to: - Dune (2021) - The Suicide Squad - Cruella - Prisoners of Ghost land - And Any Christopher Nolan Movies you haven't seen Also I like to throw support for 2 upcoming tv shows "Star Wars the book of Boba Fett" & "Netflix's cowboy bebop show."

minuteforce

I hope you find your way around to "Star Wars Visions" some time - there are some eps I'm sure you would love

Ryan

Wanted to throw this out there for a TV series. Twin Peaks. I think it’s honestly the greatest “react channel” show. Only 2-3 seasons depending on if you watch the newest season that was made 25 years later. Some of the most densely packed and interpretable tv I’ve ever seen. I think it would be really fun to see what you take away from each episode.

Anonymous

Even as a hardcore DC fan you'll enjoy the marvel series. Granted it takes place over many years. Writing is a skill they've refined over time :) as standalone movies they are fun but Most people I think enjoy it for the overall story arch.

Anonymous

What We Do in the Shadows, TV show is set in New York and the film in New Zealand

Matt Chris

You're so fcking hot. Can't get over it

MoulinNoir

great channel, thank you for the content

Seymor Butz

An interesting idea. People would either love it or hate it. I liked the writing and some acting, but the story and the twists got on my nerves.

Seymor Butz

Dollhouse was joss weedons show after firefly. It is different but good quality with a great plot. It ironically was cancled after 2 seasons. I highly recommend. Poor Joss, it's probably why he doesn't do TV anymore.

RocktSurgeon

The Suicide Squad is so great, really embraces the very, very weird/dark style and humor of Gunn. It’s
very very dark humor but if you can get on board with it, it’s one of the most fun movies I’ve seen in a long time.

RocktSurgeon

Altered Carbon would be great to see. At least the first season. A lot of the same super cool/beautiful visual style as Blade Runner 2049, and a gray neo noir detective story. I’d put it, and The Expanse (with Sense8 up there) as my favorite shows in a very, very long time. Also relatively few reactions to Altered Carbon so it’s a great “something different”.

RocktSurgeon

Have to suggest The Expanse, it’s one of the best shows in a very long time. Great story, great characters, a very deep world full of fascinatingly complex politics and motivations and prejudices etc
as well as being easily the most scientifically accurate portrayal of a space traveling society that’s been done. Gravity only when a ship is accelerating! Health effects and generational changes in peoples bodies from living in low gravity environments long term (even on mars, not just in orbit)! Even tiny attention to detail like tears pooling in eyes in micro-gravity instead of running down! The first couple episodes can be a slog for some (huge world to introduce you to) but past that it just gets better and better.

Anonymous

I think you could choose mini series as Chernobyl, Band of Brothers, Generation War etc :)
