Hey everyone! Happy Saturday!! Wishing you all a nice and relaxing weekend~ the type of weekend that this movie did NOT provide for me lmfao

This film was done so wonderfully. The performances, the plot, the pacing, setting and overally well-rounded characters really made this movie so memorable. No wonder The Green Mile won by a landslide - it hit hard near the ending, it was an ending I was not expecting and not one I really wanted to see because of how much it upset me, but still a fantastic ending to a movie filled with charm. Tom Hanks outdid himself in this movie and all I can say is.... pls keep requesting more Tom Hanks films. He's so great and I'm respecting him more and more as an actor after each performance. :) thank you guys for the tear jerker movies - you really know how to pick em lmao

Absolutely love this movie. And I didn’t see it until a few years ago. The urge to sit here and watch this reaction is STRONG. But I need to sleep as this weekend is going to be a struggle beyond measure.

There's a few out there that just want to see you cry out there, V. Not that this excellent film doesn't warrant it though. So I'd recommend one of his that would make you smile, like "Big" or "A League of Their Own". if you have yet to see those.

Matt

I'd recommend RUBY SPARKS 2012 or THE NICE GUYS 2016 when you feel like you need to smile

Now you have to watch Airplane! to cheer you up. Or The Nice Guys

Mr. Avatar

Galaxyquest will cheer you up and one of the best characters is played by the actor (Sam Rockwell) that played Wild Bill in the Green Mile. 😀

Tom Evans

Here's a few more Tom Hanks recommendations: Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, You've Got Mail

Vee, you broke my heart! It was hard to see you crying so much. You deserve to watch a good old comedy, next time! Stephen Kings sends you his regards! ;)

Jeff

Yeah that would be cool if you watched airplane 1 and 2, or a league of their own. But even better see Monty python and the holy grail....guaranteed you will be laughing nonstop!!!!!!

For the info, Billy wasn’t related to the family of the girls he killed. He was a transient laborer moving to where the work is during the Depression. That’s why he had to break into the house to get at the girls.

this movie is definitely one of those that will always gut punch me. I wish there was a way you could have a crying rating before you watch a movie so you know how many tissues you have to stock up on before you watch lol great reaction vid!

Why boys don’t go to doctor? Warren Farrell calls it social genetic heritage, “Every society that’s survived had to figure out a way to make its boys disposable in war and work” And we see this all through the movie, the jailed men building our roads, the prison guards, and the prisoners, all these men are destroying their bodies and minds doing work. https://youtu.be/D9zTUVymwbA. Here’s a chat from a utube channel that talks more about this. I think it fits. Just in case anyone finds it interesting. I didn’t vote for this movie, almost didn’t wanna watch but ended up having a great time.

Such a beautiful movie, I didn’t need the thumbnail to know you’d be bawling your eyes out by the end, everyone does. I’m going to pitch a recommendation straight out of left field that you’ll enjoy if you want something fun for your next reaction. “The Rocketeer” is a much forgotten film that didn’t get the recognition it deserves because it’s release coincided it’s some other massive films at the time. It stars Jennifer Connolly, Timothy Dalton, Billy Campbell and Alan Arkin, and you’re gonna love it. I’m also going to recommend “Stardust” again, because as I said earlier, you’re going to love it if you haven’t seen it before.

This movie is so good. You can't even tell that it's 3 hours long.

A couple other great movies with Sam Rockwell are Moon, and Mr. Right, which also stars Anna Kendrick.

Another great movie to check out is The Shawshank Redemption.

Just finished this and I can say that it was one of the best cinematic experiences of my life (even though I still feel kinda emotionally shaken at the moment). In the hopes of spreading some positivity, I just wanted to say that it was a real pleasure for me having watched this movie along with you! These reactions are great :) As a further movie recommendation, I would personally really like to see Bridge of Spies, also starring Tom Hanks.

“I hope this doesn’t make me cry” Oof

I just joined to watch this reaction and a few others. You've got lots of great stuff on here that I can't wait to watch, V. This was a fantastic reaction to a movie I adore. So glad to have found you. Here's a bunch of recommendations from different genres. I don't know if you've seen any of these, but I base my thinking you'll like them off the reactions from you I've already seen. We'll start with comedies, since it looks like you could use some after this one. These are all super funny: -Sister Act 1 and 2. -Grumpy Old Men, and its sequel, Grumpier Old Men. -Three Men and a Baby, and it's sequel, Three Men and a Little Lady -Home Alone 1 and 2 (the ones after the first two aren't great) Twins Kindergarten Cop True Lies Shrek, and Shrek 2 (I don't care for the third and fourth) Mrs. Doubtfire And a whole bunch of others from a range of genres, but I won't tell you anything about them) Dirty Dancing Pretty Woman Top Gun The Breakfast Club Ferris Bueller's Day Off The Neverending Story (only the first one) -Adventures in Babysitting Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead The Karate Kid (the original from 1984) E.T. Homeward Bound (only the first one) Iron Will Die Hard 2 and 3 (I saw you reacted to the first one) Speed (do NOT watch the sequel, I've seen it ruin the first one for reactors) The Terminator Terminator 2: Judgement Day (I only like the first two, but lots of people like some of the others) Rocky 1, 2, 3 and 4 (lots of people like the others) Independence Day (don't watch the sequel) Robin Hood Prince of Thieves Twister The Mask of Zorro Jurassic Park The Shawshank Redemption Philadelphia (I'll tell you this one has Tom Hanks because you were asking for more of him) Stand By Me Rain Man Dances With Wolves Ghost (don't worry, it's not a horror) If you watch Dances With Wolves, be warned, it is a long one. You should watch the Director's Cut, which is super long, but its the one most people can get, and it's worth the watch. Just make sure you have a lot of time. Also, make sure you get a copy with subtitles and make sure they are on. You'll need them.

If you like this watch The Shawshank Redemption
