Ready player two book just came out last year so hopefully there will be a part 2 movie. Also, they had to get all the copyrights to all the pop culture stuff in the movie and some things they couldn't get so they went with what they could get.

The 2nd book has received the worst reviews I’ve heard of. If there is a second movie (which I hope there isn’t but that’s me), I hope they make their own story instead of being based off the book.

"Rosebud" is a reference to Citizen Kane. It's a spoiler to elaborate, in case you want to watch it at some point.

Idk if this can be called creativity, cause they haven’t created anything. Just like w Disney Star Wars, it’s just our old toys being rearranged in ways that don’t even make full sense. But I did enjoy the commentary as always..

During the 80's my wife and I went out to the movies at least once a week (date night <3 ). Also, I had two teen aged boys, so video games were central to their existence ;) Even so, I had to watch the movie more than once to pick up (maybe?) all the pop culture references.
