HEY GUYS!!

I finally watched The Goonies for the first time! It was such a light-hearted, funny, feel-good film that I can imagine every type of person would thoroughly enjoy. It was so sweet, the character dynamic and how the villain characters were written was so fun to watch and I genuinely had fun watching the story unfold.

I hope you guys enjoy the film as much as I did!!

As much as I like Tarantino films, Hateful Eight finally grossed me out. Godzilla (98), though was a Lot of fun. I actually saw it twice in the theater.

Mushi-Shi (2 seasons '05 and '14), is an animated series set in old Japan, featuring a traveling doctor who specializes in working with very primordial life-forces that most people cannot see, but are supernaturally responsible for many of the strange things that trouble villagers. It's a calm and beautiful show with a focus on art and music, and intriguing plots. If you like ancient Japanese landscapes and traditional-sounding music, it's a lovely watch. A lot of the settings do look a lot like Astoria, and there's even an episode About the rain.

George Lucas, John Williams and Steven Spielberg are actually friends for about 50 years - they're called "The Bearded Trio". Spielberg co-directed one scene in the Revenge of the Sith - Anakin vs. Obi-Wan on Mustafar. Lucas co-directed some scenes in the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Ron Howard is also Lucas's friend for almost 50 years - he played in the "American Graffiti" in 1973. One part of the Pod Race in the Phantom Menace was co-directed by Howard - when Anakin loses his detail. This scene was supposed to be short. Ron Howard offered to increase the tension and to make the scene more long.

When this film came out, me and my friends took the official Goonie oath, so we are Goonies to this day. LOL.

By the Way, this took place in Astoria, Oregon. :-)

Sean Astin (Mikey) was also in Lord of the Rings. Josh Brolin (Brand) was also in the MCU. In fact, most of these kids went on to do other films.

Andy was 16 and Mikey 14, it's not that big a difference, lol.

One last comment: according to the book, Mikey was the reincarnation of Willy, which is why he instinctively knew what to do at certain times.

God this is my first time watching this film for ~15-20 years after probably wearing out a vhs of it as a kid. Such a classic. I only realised Mikey was Sean Astin like a year ago. My mind was blown! And just now seeing Brand is Josh Brolin!
