I feel like the hybrids are the base star the way the brains of the raiders are the raider or the brains of humans are the human(ignoring discussions of the soul which could apply to each). But at the scale of a base star, with such a vast, constant awareness of the universe and also the awareness of all the small creatures living within. With a consciousness so vast I would not expect much of what it says to make sense, but maybe it can see patterns from its perspective that others cannot. This is just my own theory crafting but when you ask if I would believe Kara I remember "Kara Thrace will lead the human race to its end. She is the herald of the apocalypse. The harbinger of death. They must not follow her."

I had an aneurysm when I first saw Head Gaius appear to Gaius. I love that scene so much. The main reason this is my favorite season is because unbelievably the acting this season reaches new heights

It really does. There are incredible scenes, and basically every actor -even the more ancillary roles - get their big moments. Any 'story holes' they *might have* had could be overlooked in the face of these stellar performances. Okay I need a new word. 'Stellar' is getting stale now... LOL... or IS it...? Amazing show. Maybe the best sci-fi show so far STILL! You see my favorite one though, in the circle to the left. :D

Anyone believing this Starbuck would have to be insane! Her ship blew up, she was gone for 2 months, returned in a brand new ship, claimed to be to Earth, in a ship incapable of jumping and she had no memory of how! No one should think this is the same Starbuck even if she acts like it. Just because there are a handful of Cylons(2?), that can be good out of tens of millions, assuming Starbuck would be one of them is wishful thinking. You said that they have Athena and Six and that they know starbuck "You know Starbuck, you know Starbuck" but they also knew Boomer.

For someone reliving this show I am gaining so much more story not just from my fresh view but from yours Angela. I did have thought about something that you said about the president, 6 and Athena having the same dream. Is the blood from Hara the connection. I dont actually know so not trying to spoiler anything. Watching the Centurians looking to 6 was a interesting scene and how more human do they and the raiders feel now. Great reaction as always and a side note, I talked a few of my friends into watching my box set who all had low opinions on Space Shit. It was a bit of wrestle to get it back. The most common view was that it wasnt like a Space Western. As a musician, sound engineer and producer BSG won me with that opening scene with the envoy, the new cylons and 6. The soundscape, the silence, the footsteps and the explosion were movie quality. Then the soudtrack which is at times classical, which is the normal way to try and make sci fi a little hi brow but then Bear throws a spanner in the works introducing ethinic drums, middle eastern instruments mixed with celtic female vocals and sometimes just a piano. My bench mark for sci fi is so high now that very few shows give me all the feels!

I do not think that the Opera house dreams are due to Hera's blood. Remember, Opera house dreams started in the show at the beginning of Season 2 when the Colonials were at Kobol, before Helo and Sharon had returned from Caprica with Starbuck. However, in those first Dreams Hera was an infant in the cradle, with Six and Gaius finding her. However, it does appear that the theme of the Opera House Dreams both earlier and now has been Hera as in each case the dreamers are trying to reach her.
