Trailer was fine. I really didn't feel much when I watched it myself, but watching you watch it ... I got some feels. :) Honestly, I'm fairly concerned about this adaptation. Live-action adaptations of high quality animated films or series have not faired well (IMO). The studio system has yet to prove they can do this ... as $, not quality entertainment tends to be their ultimate goal. ATLA's creators obviously made that show out of creative love first. Their departure speaks volumes to me. If it ends up being an inferior version of the original (with nothing new to add), then I'll just happily continue to rewatch the original. Anything less than great is a waste for me, but I recognize that it might bring in some new fans who will eventually make their way to the original animated series. (PS - is sux not having a new ATLA episode reaction to watch today. Hope you start Korra sooner than later. No need to wait. Yip freakin' Yip that thing.) :)

... I'm gonna have to listen to the novels over and over again until February. After One Piece I actually have some faith that live action could work out. Fingers crossed. It was an honor to accompany you on this journey. To many more in the future <3 (Just imagine me handing you tissues.)

I loooove how invested you are after watching the show. I am always telling people that the original show is truly a masterpiece and that it is tied for first place of the best show I ever watched. I sometimes wonder if I praise it too much and if I just haven't experienced enough content or I want to see more greatness than what is actually there... but your reaction and appreciation for the show, helps me be confident in my position. Everything from the characters (especially the duality of Zuko and Aang), to how they make a single frame tell pages of subtext is just brilliant. Cartoons and anime often has a reputation of being straightforward and just showing and telling everything on surface level, but in ATLA, they could take many of the scenes and transfer them one to one to live action and it would be considered masterful cinematography.
