I’m always caught of guard on a BSG rewatch at just how great this season is. There are definitely still some weak episodes but they are few and far between.

Almost forgot this fun factoid (go ahead, scream, "YOU'RE a factoid!" lol) -- To "roll the hard six" comes from the gambling game of Craps. Sometimes you have to roll a certain number (your 'point') in order to win. If the 'point' is six, rolling double 3's is much harder than rolling a 5 & 1 or a 4 & 2, and therefore pays out more. Adama uses the phrase, "Sometimes you gotta roll the hard six" to mean sometimes you HAVE to take that chance that you might get it wrong (and maybe die).

This is one of my top 10 favorite episodes of the show, even though it's kind of a smaller, self-contained story. It just perfectly nails so much of what makes the show great. It doesn't hurt that Chief is one of my top 10 favorite characters too.
