I feel like we’re going to come back to that plea from Maria Hill’s mother to not let her death be in vain, and that Fury’s more extreme reaction to his firing is on some level driven by a fear of being unable to do that after being cut off from resources he had counted on. Plus all the other stuff dumped on him in these two episodes of course. I don’t think anyone should feel embarrassed or ashamed of being an optimist. After all, it’s pretty hard to build a better world if no-one hopes or believes it is possible. Particularly with regards to conflict resolution; that can only really happen if people on each side come together with the faith and trust in each other that there can be a peaceful outcome. I think I liked this episode more than the first one. I am intrigued by G'iah. I can't tell what her endgame is, but she has something up her sleeves. Also, I am not sure Nick Fury realizes his wife is a Skrull. At some point in time while he was busy assembling the Avengers or working at SABER, she must have been replaced by a Skrull, unbeknownst to Nick Fury. That is just my theory. The shells of all the imposter skrulls were genuine people until the Skrulls returned them. That also makes me wonder at what point Ross was compromised. He was definitely the real Ross during the events of Black Panther. Otherwise, Shuri and the Wakandans would have discovered his identity while they treated his life-threatening gunshot wound. Well, four more episodes to go and I am interested to know how the events in this series ends up changing the MCU landscape forever. Finally, I hope you have a wonderful vacation. Enjoy!!
