Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania FULL LENGTH Movie Reaction

FULL LENGTH REACTION

Comments

Nathanael Fuller (Polygon Wizard)

Hmmm...wait for Quantumania to hit Disney+ in a couple more weeks or rent it this weekend so I can watch your reaction? Guess I've got weekend plans now!😁

funnylilgalreacts

You know, it never occurred to me that people wouldn’t have a copy of it until it’s on Disney+… Now I feel bad, releasing it when no one can watch it

Nathanael Fuller (Polygon Wizard)

Can't speak for anyone else, but I had been thinking about renting it until they announced the Disney+ date yesterday. I could just wait until May 17 for D+, but now I have a compelling reason to be impatient.

Were you planning to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in theaters? I always have that dilemma where it's fun to watch on the big screen but I don't wanna deal with with all those noisy people munching on popcorn all over the place lol. And we all know James Gunn... there's gonna be tears. If I ever get rich I'm investing in a movie theater just so I can have my own private screenings. Also a small suggestion, a "Full Length Movie Reaction" tag might be nice to have on these posts for Patreon. Your movie reactions are a bit all over the place on Patreon with the tags and it can be hard to find them all. There's a "Movie Reaction" tag but only been used 6 times and you have way more movie reactions than that. And the "Full Length Reaction" tag includes all the TV shows so there's a lot of stuff under there to dig through.

I wish I knew how to record in the theater like popcorn in bed sometimes does. She rents out the entire theater.

Simon Chamberland

Try asking her, maybe she'll let you in on the secret! It's probably pretty expensive to do for newly released big blockbuster movies. I edited a small suggestion in the first comment which you might have missed btw.

I think I'll give this reaction a go this weekend just to see what you think of it, even though I'm not terribly keen on this movie. Two takeaways I had from it were 1) Michelle Pfeiffer is still STUNNING, and still a badass. 2) These encounters with various incarnations of Kang remind me of how we met multiple versions of Clara on Doctor Who before we learned how they're all connected.

Nathanael Fuller (Polygon Wizard)

Quantumania was so much fun! It went for the weird and it nailed it. Plus it looks absolutely gorgeous with all the cool creature designs and fun environments. Definitely the Marvel movie I've enjoyed the most in the past few years, although I have high hopes for Guardians 3 as well. When you said "We need all the Hope we can get" I immediately shouted "Yes!" even though I didn't have a door to dramatically crash through Ted Lasso-style while I did it. Thank you for the delightful pun that made me laugh just as loud as anything in the movie.

It was great to see you enjoying this movie. I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first two Ant-Man movies when I watched it in the theater. However, rewatching now I like it more. Lying here in my hospital bed, watching the movie and your reaction made me feel good. Now I want to go back and watch Miss Marvel along with your reaction.

Whovian Prakash

They put me in hospital because my potassium levels got too high and eventually started me on dialysis. Now I am being held hostage until they set up an outpatient dialysis unit for me. But I have your reactions and reviews to keep me cheered up. Thank you so much.

Kevin Johnsen

Thank you for keeping me company while watching this movie. Was a lot of fun!

Simon Chamberland

Just finished doing a 2nd watch with your reaction and I definitely enjoyed the movie more this second time around. It's such a visual overload at times, feels like you gotta see it twice to catch everything. They definitely had me counting my holes (what a weird thing to say). Also occurred to me the number is different for man vs woman lol. Add piercings and you might get wildly different answers. The only part of the movie that still bugs me (pun intended) is the ending. I don't wanna spoil it in the comments but it just felt too easy with what Cassie did? Kinda took a lot of the weight out of what happened with Scott and Hope. And the whole sequence after felt like a weird dream, I dunno. Maybe they're taking us for a spin and probably setting a bunch of stuff up for the next movies. We'll see where they take us.

funnylilgalreacts

The Cassie thing was too convenient for me. I thought they'd be stuck there but she could just dial them up and pop them back out? SUS.

Simon Chamberland

Apparently they reshot the ending like 1 month before release. The dialogue for the movie had leaked in January and in there the ending was different. In the leak, Scott and Hope get stuck in the quantum realm and Kang manages to escape so quite a bit darker of an ending which would've fit the tone of the movie better I feel. Certainly better than the ending they went with which felt very tacked on. Not every movie needs a happy ending.

Hope you checked out The Diplomat, it was an excellent first season.

Have you seen Loki?

Angela, I can’t help but laugh when you hum along with the Marvel theme at the beginning. Thank you for this. Living up to your name FLG. All of your Marvel reactions are so fun. I recently rewatched She-Hulk & your full length reactions. It was nice & educational to hear a female perspective on that one. I really enjoyed this movie too. The Quantum Realm was so visually interesting. The production & art design was phenomenal! It was like a Rick Remender Black Science graphic novel come to life. Cassie: “Just because it’s not happening to you doesn’t mean it’s not happening.” Actual quote from Trevor Noah’s book Born A Crime. So good, and I love this quote. I really liked Katy as Jentorra. I thought she seemed more at home in this role. I loved Veb saying “I have holes!” Such a crowd pleaser. Darren did look like an actual dick lying there saying “I’m such a dick.” It was great that they made him Modok & that he got to die an Avenger. 🫡 Yes, a redemption arc for Darren? What is this show, Ted Lasso? And then you said it, Scott is Ted. Look out for the little guy! ✊ Thank you Scott. I have no idea how Marvel will tie it all together, and I like that. More and more I enjoy being surprised. This version of Kang is as dead as Shed & Maneo(1st Belter through the Ring) from the Expanse. Xander, I’ve started Barry, at least 2 eps & need to continue. I really like Bill Hader & it’s different than what he usually does. I’ve never watched The Wire either. I’m ashamed. David Simon displays quite a wit on his Twitter and is supporting & marching for his WGA. I love Jodie Foster. I will definitely check True Detective out with her in it. Only saw the first season with McConaughey and Woody, which was excellent, though so disturbing. Alright, what show did you not get to say that’s one of your favorites? Wonderfalls? Terriers? Pushing Daisies? Or more recent, Lovecraft Country, HBO’s Watchman series?

Myoclonic Jerk

As I was watching that fight scene, that's exactly what I thought was going to happen. They still have that stuff on the other side, so just block and and slip out from the outside. Of course, in thinking that, I felt very little peril while watching the big scene.
