I think one of the key things about the show is it's about the harm and evil done by relatively normal people just "doing their job well". The overreacting local police force that doesn't bother to investigate what happens and just seeks revenge for the deaths of corrupt officers.. the female hyper competent intelligence officer who by doing her job well is enabling an increasingly brutal fascist government.. They are both just trying to do their job well on some level, because they believe they are doing the right thing by supporting the system while not questioning whether that's a good thing. Uniquly nuanced version of star wars.

They are my favorite characters. So wrong yet right at the same time. They have no idea what they are part of but keep feeding it anyway. I love it. Dedra is simply terrifying and amazing.

I get it. It's not an easy show to get sucked into and it's not typical SW at all. But it's worth the effort. Rogue One is my favorite for sure. I think the story they want to tell will take the full two seasons, so this one is entirely laying the foundation for season 2.

They are great characters! And they feel very real, and even a bit relatable at least as far as they are in positions and doing things that a 'normal' person could find themself doing and thinking it's necessary for the greater good/just doing their job.
