Only watched the into so far but you know it's a good show if you hate that you can't stop watching it! I have two points to make: 1. You make it sound like we are all leaving when the show ends. Intelligent, thoughtful, honest reactors are hard to find. I bet most of us are sticking around. 2. Don't mess with Xander.

I remember watching this episode for the first time and really thinking Amos was gonna die protecting Anna and being so nervous! I wish we got some more of Melba to show the shift but I still really enjoyed it

I think Melba changed when she heard Holden talking to Naomi and Miller. He took responsibility, even though its not his fault. He showed selflessness and empathy which is something she didnt think he was capable of. It basically changed her entire viewpoint on him and you could tell that she was conflicted throughout the entire season when she did bad things. She has a heart and was only acting the way she did because she was misinformed, manipulated, and treated poorly her whole life. I think her redemption was pretty powerful but I understand your hesitance to like her. She did a lot of things that she has to answer for, but I think a lot of people that we like in this show have done some shitty things to others because they felt what they were doing is right. I guess we will see what happens. Also I think its important to show appreciation to your editor for how perfect the syncing is on these videos. Its always perfect and on point. Also the editing is just hilarious. Good job, man!

Definitely felt the intro, for me there's been no show before or after that has matched it. Also wish there were just tons of seasons left (of course of the same quality and not what has happened to other shows that grew too long in the tooth). Can only hold out hope that they at least get S7-S9! At least I've enjoyed this ride with you, great reactor and looking forward to your journey through S4-S6!!!

I wish we had gotten a little bit more from her so it wasn't so cryptic. Maybe it wasn't to everyone else, but it felt like a weird shift. Xander is so good at making me look good. I appreciate that guy a lot!

Though it may be frustrating for some, the masterful character development in this show is oftentimes doled out over a long period of time, which may not initially be obvious to everyone at first watch. So far, with “Melba,” it has been very subtle…bordering on non-existent…but it’s there. Perhaps we’ll get lucky and get more down the line? 😉

I think it was done this way on purpose. She's a side character and villain/antagonist, after all. Her motives were supposed to leave us guessing, and it would be weird to suddenly be able to read her with perfect clarity at the end. It still felt plausible to me, though. Not a cold water, out of nowhere "last moment".

Its worth thinking about the other characters you really didn't like at first... The Expanse likes to take its sweet time in plumbing the depths of its characters.

Awww... We Love You Too!!! I don't know why exactly but I felt compelled to watch the intro to this season finale when I saw the notification for the start of season 4. I have not been able to watch the last several season 3 reactions due to stupid a** "real life" reasons... (sigh...) But Dang It!! I am missing them. I hope I can catch up soon! You may be half way through (technically) but that doesn't really mean anything. For all we know the last 3 seasons could be worth double the first 3. I can't wait to watch more with you. Have a fan-freakin-tastic day!

After this epi, can only think how the series should be at least 20 episodes exploring all the gates, but I think protomiller’s reply to Holden’s question what killed the civilization that created the rings, PM said that’s what I’d like to know. Is that the next two seasons? Will find out soon enough

I think it was pretty blatant as to why she changed her tune, frankly, but everyone perceives things a bit differently, so having different opinions on that is perfectly valid.

Funny how you (and Lil!) like Diogo Harari at the beginning and then by this episode you're just like, "fuck this kid." Fabulous writing and acting. EDIT: And the exact opposite happens with Clarissa/Melba!

Diogo was just a kid, but damn, little shit... I keep telling myself to have an open heart when it comes to Clarissa. Especially because with Amos, he's not friendly to just anyone. And nickname? They had time to get close with each other....
