I really like what you said about Amos and his thinking about Melissa at the end. I tend to think of Amos as not broken, but just sort of calibrated wrong. There's more on his backstory later that will make it clearer, but the main thing is that he reacts to things often for the wrong reasons. Like you said, he's aware that Melissa is upset, he has enough empathy to get emotional signals from others (most of the time) he just doesn't understand the motivation behind those emotions. And because he doesn't get that part of the equation, he just doesn't see the point in bothering with emotions himself. It's not that he doesn't have them, they're just more of an annoyance, like a gnat. My opinion, anyway.

I was probabaly on my third watch through when I finally remembered where I saw the actor that played the husband that died. He was Apophis in the first few seasons on Stargate. Hearing his voice normally was so weird once I put it together.

Oh no the actor hasn't. I meant the character, i had no hope of remembering his name lol. Just recognized the face and took years to put ot together when I happened to be rewatching both expanse and Stargate at the same time.
