After watching I was certain I had only seen the beginning. Maybe I was at a party or my nephews were watching it...I don't know. BUT it was so much fun. And emotional too which was very unexpected.

Such a fun movie! Even on rewatches the humor doesn't fade! Hell there may even be things you miss in the first viewing or not fully appreciate, like for instance the 127 hours reference ALSO had a reference to a girl's coming of age book when she gets her first period. The line "Are you there god, it's me Margaret" is the title of said novel.

Is there a chance the footage of the movie you saw before may have actually been the leaked concept footage from 2014 (which was actually from a couple years before that, but Fox didn't want to make it until after the leak happened). It has a lot of the same beats (including the spinning car), minus the gore, an he sings Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl instead. It's also a lot more CGI because it's just test footage.

This may be a perfect movie for those with the right sense of humor. The story structure, the act breaks, the jokes per minute, the fourth wall breaks, the meta nature of much of it, the love story... The love story portion legitimately makes me choke up during the "finding out about cancer" part. Hell, during the denouement in the sense of flaws and acceptance being a metaphor. And does it hurt when he gets injured? I think of X-men 1. "Every time." Also, no, not Uhura, lol. I also hate Francis's teeth, and they made me recognize him. He played Dario N'Hareis in one season of Game of Thrones. He had long blond hair for that role. Edit: Nvm, you caught it. Oh, by the way, and most people don't catch this, the final battle takes place on a crashed helicarrier from Winter Soldier I was born in 81, I can absolutely rap Shoop right along with you, Salt, N Peppa. Sorry if these notes are disjointed, I made them while watching so I could remember. Also, several months late, I only joined your patreon like 2 months ago.
