FULL LENGTH REACTION

Right now it seems like Raishan is playing both sides. Because in the end, her hatred for Thordak seems real. She just is very selfcentred. She will tell VM things but if she feels like it would be for her own good, she will tell Thordak to close the entrance or not warn Whitestone about Thordak's impending attack. We will have to wait and see if her sense of selfpresavation will override her hatred for Thordak in the end.

Laura Bailey would be so proud of you opening the show with shafting and creamy filling. :-)

Wes

yeeees, just finished episode 7 reaction and im cryin anyway, amazing timing

"Why would everyone at Critical Role do this to me?" Those of us who have been watching the three campaigns for almost 10 years now are still asking this question. It is personal at this point!! Was nice to throw the Larkin bit in there, since that whole fight played out differently in the series vs the game. Who's Larkin? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMTbrgSqNNI Larkin was the alias assumed by Raishan, the Diseased Deceiver during her brief cooperation with Vox Machina in the battle against Vorugal. While Vox Machina was resting, a dwarven figure approached and introduced himself as Larkin, the mercenary Vox Machina hired in Whitestone. Vex'ahlia/Laura immediately recognized that this was Raishan in disguise but Scanlan/Sam was confused about who they hired. And poor Vax/Liam took forever to figure it out. Larkin asked if they had a plan and Pike tried to talk to him in dwarvish, but he rebuffed the use of the language. Vex whispered to Pike that this was Raishan. The group asked what Larkin's strategy was for the coming fight, trying to stick to the mercenary story in front of Kima, who was confused. When Vox Machina decided to rest in Scanlan's Magnificent Mansion, they told Larkin they would see him tomorrow. During the battle against Vorugal, Larkin appeared and cast a Blight spell on the dragon, but when he saw how the battle was going, vanished and Raishan openly appear and attacked Vorugal with her poison breath.

1. You mentioned how Vex's speech to her father made sense, but did you pick up on the undercurrent of it? She was quoting Percy from the intro about the only bargaining chip being the truth. She's STILL leaning on him! 2. Stop crying? I don't know what the last block of episodes will hold, but between this cliffhanger and a whole other block are you REALLY willing to bet on that at this point???

Trish

sorry this is side note have you thought about reacting to the "table to screen" videos where we compare the acuatal table gameplay to the animated series..just laura's face throughout the hot tub convo she knew what she was she going to do lmao https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtW4JHV8dN8&pp=ygUbdGFibGUgdG8gc2NyZWVuIHZveCBtYWNoaW5h

"What did we ever do to them?" We gave those b@stards $11.8M of our money to make this show. :D :D :'( Also, let's come back to that "creamy filling" comment sometime around ep11. (that's total guess, but iykyk)

Michael Kemmet

Liam had a health problem at the time that both fogged his head and interfered with his hearing. That's the reason it took forever for him to figure out the whole Larkin thing, but it made it no less funny. :)

Re: Therapy If it helps, all of the cast's therapists are well aware of what goes on during these games. lol They've all joked many times during the games about bringing up in-game things during their therapy sessions. :D

Between this funeral and the one in X-Men '97 idk which was more heart breaking 😭 Also, Kinda surprised the Herd of Storms wasn't apart of this army or did their last dragon fight kill most of them?

Being a critter really is about having your heart grow and swell and then be ripped out in moments like you are a Sacrifice to Kali (Indiana Jones reference). Even in C3 there are moments where I am yelling at the screen @ Matt and the rest to stop. Then I found the rest of the community where we could share our joys and pains.

To take your mind off how heavy this set of episodes was here's a little fun fact. Hopefully you haven't heard it yet or if you did you still find it funny. When the group first created their characters, they had no idea it would become what it has. They were just playing a home game. Well, when Sam Regel had to create the backstory for his character Scanlan, he couldn't come up with anything so what he did was open up Emimen's Wikipedia page copied his history and altered it for Scanlan. So Scanlan in that world is Emimem in this world. I got a smile out of that. Have a great night, enjoy your reactions.

Vox Machina, always trying to take down dragons by using the back entrance. They *really* wanted their own version of the scene in the LotR movies where the elves showed up at Helm’s Deep. I thought it was a nice touch that Syldor called Vex Lady Vex’ahlia - it felt to me that he was making an effort to respect Percy’s memory as well as Vex.

Nathaniel Castle

Why do you hurt me? Why do you make me feel good?- now was this said by me at Helgas House of Pain or by our funny lil gal here, the answer is of course both

Mark Leiter

I caught what Syldor said as well. A really nice bit of character growth for him.

Jonathan

I think they said they only had like a dozen left. Zanror would probably be the only one we recognize.

Jonathan

Easter egg - the dead body in the cell with Percy at the start was Taliesin Jaffe (Percy's voice actor).

Slick447

I just noticed that, raving mystic indeed 🤣About time someone besides Matt Mercer gets picked on.

funnylilgalreacts

Most of the table to screen I get sent by Nathaniel so I’ve already seen it by the time the edits have been posted

i was watching a percy x vex supercut compilation from the campaign there's literally a scene where grog is try to enter a small door and liam as vax: have you not crawled on all fours before? then taliesin as percy: you should try it if you haven't. it's quite delightful. grog: are you lying? percy: no! for once i'm not. laura bailey (vex) bursted out laughing during that scene Insinuating percy is submissive it's like one of my favorite moments i glad there's a bit of difference between the animated show and campaign obviously they couldnt really transcribe word for word because many conversations are just plain too long. I think the show captures all the characters well and focuses on the important parts. Its obviously a truncated version because the animated series doesnt get to be as long as and breath as much as the campaign. Theres also some details switched around or not in the series, again because of time constraints. Id say the series is faithful to C1 but its still worthwhile to watch the campaign to get all of the interactions that ever happened. I personally like the series not just because it is an easier to stomach version of the campaign but also because its so cool to see the creation of a bunch of nerdy ass voice actors come to live in one unified vision.
