And now our watch begins for 1x19 . Yes I love GoT 😀. I love this episode as well . It is good on its own , but it actually connects with the main plot as well , because it's setups up next episode and since I know you already watched 1x19 and 20 this is not a spoiler . Like we told you you will have more and more episodes like this where at first glance they are just episodes on their own , but they also move main plot with out you realizing it initially . Anyway great reaction and now back to work I go 😂.

In The Expanse, I loved Holden and Naomi's relationship because it was pretty realistic. It wasn't a "will they won't they." They will, and they are, there's just a few problems along the way they have to get through. There are multiple love stories in Farscape that also give the middle finger to the "will they won't they" tension of traditional TV. An incredible story for 2000-2004 and I haven't seen a show that has the balls to replicate it since.

Angela playing with her hair when Crichton first shows up in uniform. :) She's got the feels

"Is Aeryn going to pretend to be in charge?" Well... not quite. Crichton always has a plan, but that doesn't mean they're always good ones. The debut of John's Peacekeeper voice. It's almost its own character. Also the debut of Rygel and Chiana being mischief makers together, which was an inevitable turn of events. i enjoy seeing Chiana employ her talents of flirting and being light-fingered to good effect. I do think she starts to embody the role of the wild, reckless little sister who needs someone to keep an eye on her. This was the Peacekeeper Hot Squad, though. Larraq and Hassan are both super model levels of good looking. Aeryn certainly could have joined them, under different circumstances. She definitely still has pangs of regret and wistfulness over losing her old life, but I think she shows that she's adapted well to her new one, and genuinely enjoys it at times.

David Vandervliet

Aeryn's reaction to Laraqque's comments goes back to meeting John way back in the pilot - When they escape and she is hesitant, because she believes what the Peacekeepers has drilled in to her. She's a soldier, with a role, its who she is. And John lets her know "You can be more" Laraqque sees that too

I don't love you teasing us with the waiting time, Angela

I always love the dialogue in Farscape. It’s so sharp and no line is wasted. Chianna is young, but she’s extremely cunning and I think Rygel immediately recognized that. I think he sorta sees her as his intellectual equal. It’s a fun dynamic

This episode didn't really feel right to me. The risk was too high after the starburst mishap and it just felt sketchy to risk the baby again so close to birth. It felt like a stupid move and they got out of it in a messy fashion. It does however establish a couple of things that come up soon. It felt like an exposition dump/ filler episode for me.

Too bad we can't get a back to back to back to back episode to end the season.

The chemistry with Aeryn and Larraq is huge for me in this episode, and the little glimpses of her youth. She was a special Peacekeeper commando, so yes, kind of special ops, but was part of a prowler detail awaiting transfer to a Marauder. The implication is that she was more a tactical assault person, the people you send in to do a lot of damage behind enemy lines in a war. Larraq's team are black ghosts, more like black ops, working outside of Peacekeeper territory, with deniability, on secret missions. Larraq was clearly picking up on Aeryn being more highly skilled than he would expect of a bridge crew in NewTech, who wouldn't normally be directly in combat, and so not expecting or trained for repelling assault like this. On her side, Aeryn is both surprised that he thinks she's special (Aeryn has a thing about being seen as a stand out, her arrogance is usually on behalf of her species or her organization, not personal), and also that specifically he thinks she might be good at black ops, which she never aspired to. But obviously, given how smart and adaptable she's proven to be, Larraq wasn't wrong. Not only did she find him attractive, she also is really affected by the idea that there was a place for her in the Peacekeepers that would have been better for her than where she was in Premiere. Alas, she can't go back now. This episode is also significant because whichever way you count it, this was the first time John has ever killed someone, and that has an effect on him from this point forward, as well it should.

Notes from a Farscape fan: 1) Yet another instance of me pointing out how much you now care about Rygel, even though he is a snurching little weasel. 2) Rewatching this I am struck by the Among Us vibes of this episode. Nothing informative in this point, I just can't unsee it now. 3) I love that despite the slow-burn Aeryn-Crichton thing, it's so unobtrusive (unlike most main character romances in shows) that we can have an Aeryn one-episode romantic interest that not only doesn't feel out of place, but also doesn't feel like it gets in the way of any potential Aeryn-Crichton stuff. This is precisely what I meant when I talked about how this show does potential romance well - by making it so that the characters within said potential romance don't lose anything by being in it, and continue to have storylines outside of it (even other potentially romantic storylines). I can foresee this show making you just as angry vis-a-vis main character romances as other shows that do it, but not because it's a bad romance arc - rather you'll be so annoyed that you don't hate it, which flies in the face of everything we think we know to be true about main character romance arcs. 4) No spoilers about the character coming up, but here's the truth of it: you don't even know. Even after watching this next episode, you won't. Even. Know. Trust me.

I haven't watched the reaction yet, but your comment makes me eager for her to see him in his long coat getup... :)

soon the real farscape begins

It wouldn’t be John if he didn’t struggle with killing someone. It’s one of the reasons he’s such a great character. Space Captain America.

funnylilgalreacts

I can see that for sure. I took it as they didn’t have a choice, but to do whatever they could to survive.

John, in that uniform, with a spiffy accent? Yes! This episode feels inspired by The Thing and similar stories. I generally don't enjoy doppelganger type stories, but really enjoyed this spin on things. (Also, if you haven't already seen it, would definitely recommend the Dark Crystal for more great puppeteering work from the Jim Henson Creature Shop!)

I snort-laughed at your description of the character in the thumbnail having a butt!chin and a thong across his face! About whether or not Zhaan could formulate/create an antibody/antidote that quickly? Please do not watch this show for scientific accuracy, though the litmus fibers WERE a pretty nifty incorporation in this episode. Who needs science in the space opera when there are awesome characters and space shit?

Rare

Farscape to me is more spiritual than it is scientific. Everyone on Moya is looking for their own version of “home” and it draws them closer and closer. “The journey of the soul is vaster than the universe”

Rory Owens

I remember Rygel's response to something that happens in an episode of season four, where a character is trying to figure out how and he says something like, "who cares how they did it? They did it, and that's that." To me, that's always been Farscape's answer to the Star Trek style tech-babble that always has to explain something. It's alien, it's weird, we can't explain it.

SweetCandle

You know, I look like a cross between John Crichton, David Tennent (with glasses), and Major Armstrong, so...
