For the record, Eccleston is my favorite doctor. So there is at least one of us!

This episode was my introduction to Eve Myles, who played Gwyneth. I've really enjoyed the roles I've seen her in. She was also the voice actor for Merrill in Dragon Age II.

Eccleston plays the Doctor at this point in their life perfectly. On re-watching, his performance is even better when you know more of the Doctor's story and understand the reasons for some of his actions. When I hear people say Eccleston isn't their favorite, I never take it as a knock against him. He's fantastic. They just may like one of the other Doctors better. For me, it's Peter Capaldi, but they're all brilliant.
