Founded in 2038 by Elizabeth Carter, the sixth-generation descendant of the legendary writer and occultist Randolph Carter, DMAIC is a mega corporation that rose to fame following their invention of the first generation cyberdoll. Despite heavy criticism for their disregard for scientific ethics, DMAIC has become a de facto monopoly in military and civilian cyberdoll development & manufacturing after a century of operation, thanks to radical business strategy coupled with the founder's keen insight.

After the start of the Second Age of Exploration, DMAIC quickly shifted its focus to developing cyberdoll models and industrial drones adaptable to cosmic environments to meet the labor needs of extraterrestrial colonies. Today, DMAIC is the largest supplier of industrial machinery in Neo England and is responsible for maintenance of the colony's infrastructure, including the Archimedes Orbital Station.

Elizabeth Carter has been at the helm of DMAIC for nearly two hundred years, but this iron-fisted technology oligarch shows no physical signs of aging. The official explanation from DMAIC is that Elizabeth has replaced her organs with bionic prosthetics to achieve immortality. Yet her longevity still spawned many a conspiracy theory, with some calling it a marketing ploy while more radical ones claim that the Carter family has a long history of cutting deals with aliens...
