I don't buy the "me... kill..." part. She said nothing even resembling "me". She just keeps muttering "kill". To be exact she keeps muttering ""koroshite". Actual line went like this: "... shite... koroshite" So yeah. We do not know who she is referring to or who is she begging to do the killing. It's impossible to judge that.

Ah, I love how much you've speculated in this about the kids, the deaths and the consequences of Tenma's decision. It really takes me back to my first time going through this. Always love a good mystery. And yeah, Tenma isn't quite as naive as he might've seemed in Ep.1 about being used. "Just go along with being used until you reach your goal." I get where he was coming from with that but it's a slippery slope. You could easily justify more abuse than you initially thought you were going to take or like it happened here, you just get dropped the instant you're no longer useful. I guess there's a bit of naivety in believing that he was in control by being aware of being used and trying to use that to his advantage.
