This was the most recent episode when I caught up with Doctor Who! I had NO idea what that cliffhanger meant, and man you can bet the speculation was crazy. But for you the next episode is right away haha, I'm so envious and so excited for the reaction

The tone is exactly why I like this episode. If we analyze the plot and all the little details it maybe doesn't work the best, and there's some unnecessary comedic relief IMO, but it has such a great atmosphere and really cool concepts. Off to a great start for one of the best runs of the show
