Hello everyone! let's get right into with the plans! So this a January update and a look ahead at February as well.

Arcane 1x1 Early Access/Full Length is coming to the $10 Tier on Sunday, January 22nd, and then to the the $5 Early Access tier on Sunday, January 29th. It will be a weekly release. 

Vinland Saga S2

  • Full Opacity and Full length will be joining the lineup

FMAB

  • There will be another double drop week to take it to Four early access episodes. I don't have an exact date just yet, but targeting the third week of January. Then there will be a final Double drop week in February to take it to five early access episodes.
  • I am open to OVAs as well, let me know what you guys think. They would be on a Tuesday or Friday instead of a series episode for that day.

Doctor Who

Series 7 Finale - The Name of the Doctor | Prequels

  • Clarence and the Whispermen
  • Rain Gods

50th Anniversary Special – The Day of the Doctor | Prequels

  • Clara and the Tardis (just decided to watch this here)

Then there will be a double drop week with 8x1/8x2. 8x1 will be on its usual Thursday (the 26th) and 8x2 will be a few days later, the second early access episode will be a part of the $10 tier. Then there will be another double drop week in February to take it to three early access episodes.

Right then, that poll is finally coming back in! with some of the same options and a few different ones. I will run this poll for 10 days, and then I need to begin preparing/recording. The poll winner will begin on February 11th, with episodes 1x1/1x2 for the $10 tier and 1x1 for the $5 tier.

Interested to see what you will think about Arcane. The show didn’t impress me that much regardless of that I will still watch the reactions and discussions. Excited for Vinland Saga S2 it will be so good. Can’t wait to see the next arc animated! Also five weeks early access for FMAB? Crazy, didn't think you would go that far and for the OVAs, now that you are on the Briggs arc you can watch all four of the OVAs. They are little side stories that add some context to already established chars. They are good but nothing to great imo. If you want to watch them, watch them. Even though I don’t watch Doctor Who I’m happy for the Doctor Who fans. And the poll looks less stacked than I expected. I will vote for Steins Gate cause then I will get your reactions to my top 2 anime at the same time which would be FMAB and Steins Gate! :D You weren't exaggerating when you said that the plans for 2023 are crazy

You weren’t kidding when you said that you’re kicking into second gear this year. Really looking forward to Arcane! I am ready for the “impressed Im with spread out hands to fully take in the cinematic shot,” thumbnails for each episode. Not sure if this is something you’d want to take into consideration for the future, but I think polls could heavily benefit from being a few rounds instead of just one-and-done. First have all the options for maybe a week or so, then make a new poll excluding a few getting the least votes, repeat a few times. If Psycho Pass was knocked out, I could see people who voted for that changing their votes to like Eva or Steins;Gate, which would then give them more of a fighting chance. Nonetheless, looking forward to Mob! A great coming-of-age/action series with a lot of heart that just concluded. It also has arguably the strongest and healthiest TV anime production to come out in the last decade or so, with Yoshimichi Kameda from FMAB serving as the character designer and chief animation supervisor!

Excited about Arcane, it really hits all the boxes: music, art, animation, story, delivery, action, you name it. On the other hand, here's a hot take: I don't think Mob is a good fit for the channel. While it does revolve around personal development (a fairly shallow one at that if I'm being honest), I get the feeling that a lot of people watch reactions on it for the over-the-top action scenes, which might as well be fireworks. Maybe you'll like it, but that's my two cents on it.

I'm loving the growth and flow that you're going into man! So glad to have supported you for a while now and glad that you take the time away when you need it and come back stronger! This year is looking to be a good one, and I'm especially hyped to see that 50th Anniversary reaction - It's a good one! Also god damn, I know it probably won't win as it's a bit more niche than the others, but if you could react to Psycho Pass I think you'd be the perfect reactor for it! It does have the benefit of not being very long so who knows.

What reactions of his have you watched? He definitely appreciates all aspects of good production. Don't see why he wouldn't appreciate the animation as well as the narrative

I'm not saying lm wouldn't appreciate the animation or narrative. I'm saying the narrative is shallow (and that's fine, not all anime can have grand stories or plots) and whilst the action is exciting, there's not a lot of structure behind it.

Consuming a visual medium just for dense writing will make one miss out on a lot of good stuff. The amount of content that Im is creating is going up, which makes him go through his backlog faster. I don’t see a problem in mixing in shows with less complex stories than what he already has on the channel. He also mentioned during the second CSM ending that he would love to check out anime that are in a similar vein to that ending’s visual style – which is something he would definitely get with Mob. It’s filled with great animation, visual storytelling, a literal paint-on-glass artist present for the show’s whole duration, an episode solo animated by a single person, multiple episodes where an individual is in charge of the storyboard, direction, and animation supervision of an entire episode by themselves, topped off with a sick-ass soundtrack by Kenji Kawai, the man who composed the soundtrack for Ghost in the Shell. Im is yet to watch a fully creator-driven anime production and this one is full of stuff that I can definitely see him geeking out about. It is true that the series’ writing isn’t as intricate as some others, but it’s definitely not short of aspects that you can talk about, and will think about for a long time after the episode is over.

If psycho pass wins, I really think it should only be season 1, or that’s what I would strongly suggest. There’s literally a different writer after that season and it shows in the quality and just overall tone. Season 1 wraps everything up perfectly. It’s too bad Gen never really came back to the series after that but he told the story that he wanted to tell

I agree, and have commented about it a few times since he seemed to not specify only S1 for Psycho Pass, as opposed to The Promised Neverland where he did seem aware to only keep it to S1
