I'm glad you watched this anime, it was a pleasure to watch it alongside you. Great discussions! Once again Im telling this: this anime had no business being this good. I've read the manga, trust me: this show was made with a real passion. Unreal quality, a ton of new details, and also anime exclusive stuff! Once again, for absolutely no reason they've made 12 amazing endings, but I want to talk about the last one. This one is actually very special to me, and to the story. I have no intention to spoil anything, but I think it's very general. Throughout the manga we don't get these 'domestic' moments like at all. Yes, there are calm chapters, bonding moments, but for sure we didn't have anything like this last ending. These chapters always has 'something to tell', but I think this story needs scene just like this ending: a normal day for the trio. I have critique for manga that we kinda have to assume that these three became like a family at one point, we didn't really saw that kind of bonding in manga for sure. So in this regard the ending is just perfect, I'm glad that anime creators using their media to the fullest to make a story even better. In terms of the story going forward. FOR SURE, this part of CSM is the weakest one. It's great, but it gets even better. When everything established like that, Fujimoto really goes wild on story and concepts going forward. Especially next season, assuming its going to be another 12 episodes, going to be legendary Im telling you. I really love how all of it turned out, the anime is a thing of its own. In this case you could say that is irrelevant to compare anime to the source material. Cause a lot of people tempted to do such usually. Anime is it's own thing. Of course it misses a lot of things manga has. Like how cool the curse devil in the manga: the finger that 'flicks' Aki's sword is drawn in a special way. It's kinda 'coming out of the frame', like it's something 'external', which on the page works so well. And there are a lot of these really smart framing\paneling tricks Fujimoto uses in his work. But of course as I said, anime has it's own things to keep up. Sorry for being so all over the place, it's really hard for me to post long takes like this.
